Navigating Team Options and Twitter Questions Round 2
Could he play pf after demar leaves
Our guard rotation is the leauges best no doubt. White is all star collabor every year he gets more confident.
Spurs for life!
He makes good decision s.
#BBN i love the way he play, he's relentless and likes to compete.
This dude going to be special
Big time potential one of my fav sleepers from this draft.
If we drew plays for him he'd average 20 ez
As bad as DW started the first 2 minutes of the game, it was nice to see him bounce back strong from then on. The spurs have a few players, where if that would happen to them, it mentally crushes their game and they continue to play poorly. Glad to see DW have such mental toughness.
I'm just floating ideas on channels just to get opinions. What do you think of this Starting Five One, White Two, DJ Three, Lonnie Four, Metu Five, Jakob Feedback is much appreciated, Thanks.
It doesn't hurt to try but from what I've seen of Metu the last two years, he's likely to be 5 if he continues in the NBA
@@TheSpotUpPod a lot of people put Metu at the five, it makes sense he is more athletic. Thanks.
Hayward is my favorite player
Does the Spurs pull a trade? Dec15 possibly?
Great breakdown, I really like to learn the business side of basketball and all the rules of the salary cap
...i think its time for the spurs to give a little more even if they go over the cap...tim tony manu and other players have always taken a lot less to stay...i think marcus morris is worth the extra 5 mill to get him...
So no way we can squeeze a little more for Morris on the backend. Maybe 3 year 30 mill
Yes, the Spurs can, but it seems Morris wants to be back in free agency ASAP because he wasn't happy with the offers he got this summer.
Now you gotta do an update video with Demarre Carroll and with the the spurs letting go of Ben Moore contract. And Rudy's new contract
So much easier to understand by seeing all the contract numbers layed out like this thank you! I say trade Lamarcus but thats just me
I'd rather trade Derozan, Mills, Marco and Bertrans. LMA is still an All-Star. Our biggest needs are athletic wings that can shoot the 3. I'd say if we can get help there, White continues to improve and Dejonte bounces back, 50 wins is possible.
Nicholas L I can name like 5 other players that deserved an all star spot this year i wouldnt pay attention to that at all! LMA is getting old hes not pushing the spurs foward unless you build around him and who would you get for demar? He had a pretty good season and it was his first year with a new team plus hes working on his 3. Mills still has a purpose so id keep him for a couple more years but marco and bertans can go if needed but if you trade LA there really wouldnt be a need to get rid of them so that can also wait unless something better pops up
Thank you for sharing, hello from Taiwan!
Get Danny Green Back
hell no.
Nice work once again Paul. Always bringing insightful Spurs free agency analysis for roster each year around this time! If Spurs ultimately couldn't land Bojan in a sign & trade with Indy, any chance you think they could use the MLE on a guy like Julius Randle or would that still not be enough money for his market value ?
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, Randle is def gonna be a guy a team can only sign with cap space, I'd project north of $12 million as the lowest number.
Great explanation Paul. My question is that are the spurs contract management average or below average. This sounds like a lot of work to do for the spurs front office to do little figures on saving money. Like look Instayed under the cap but now I have nothing but guards. Lol
Most of their contracts are fine, especially the young guys who are on their rookie deals. Since Pau is gone, Patty's probably the lone bad contract.
Thank you 👍
i think we're staying put
nice
thanks so much for sharing i really wish DeRozen can leave SPURS , he is too expensive Leave *Pau Gasol , leave please, and ask your broth marc to join SPurs. *Bertains will leave too, he is expensive Maybe leave * no point keeping DeRozen because spurs has , Forbes, Murray, White, and Walker. *Cunningham & Pondexter (useless) *Belinelli , should get a Primeter defender such as (not a good defender in wing with SF position) Keep *Patty is also expensive but Pop loves him, love his effort, speed, 3s *Rudy Gay will probably still signing around 10-15m for 2-3 year contract *LA will stay remain in SPURS,
Jeffries not with the team anymore he declined his option to stay with San Antonio I don't know if you got that on this news when you made this post but yeah Joffrey is not going to be with San Antonio anymore he declined his offer and he's going to look elsewhere so he will no longer with the Spurs
You forgot about Dante Cunningham they signed him to too I think he signed for a one-year deal I think I could be wrong though it might be a two-year deal with Dante
Need some updates man!!! Weekly vids
So RC and pop expect Rudy Gay to turn back the clock 5 years and match up with KD and Lebron defensively for 40 minutes in the playoffs?
They talk about LeBron James eventually slowing down someday.😀😀😀 San Antonio will eventually slow down someday = THIS SEASON !!! DeRozan sucks at PERIMETER DEFENSE & not an accurate 3-point shooter. This is finally the year for a downfall.
DeAndre Page Never doubt the Spurs. Nothing more to say
DeAndre Page bro y u hating.. I bet your team haven't made the playoffs for 20 yrs
Slique Vic Do you disagree with me about DeRozan's perimeter defense ?😀😀😀
DeAndre Page Yeah it's a bit bad but it's nothing he can't improve upon. That and his perimeter shooting, which he can also improve on; and with a shooting coach like Chip Engelland, it shouldn't be to difficult. He's the same man who helped Kawhi develop a jumpshot. If he can help Kawhi, he can help Demar
Ok you might got a point but if and when he learns Spurs system, it's gonna bring out that untapped defensive potential.
Damn the Spurs need too make those young players happy and pay them some more money and stop being cheap
The younger players are on their set rookie contracts for the first 4-5 years of their career. They'll either sign an extension in the coming years for more money or make more when they eventually enter free agency down the road.
what is going on Bertans contract.......
Dam I hope Gasol retires. What were they thinking paying him so much at such an old age? So many great free agents coming in 19/20 and we could really do with the cap space.
They should trade him to the lakers for Andre ingram
Jacob Perez That's a great idea hahaha
Bevan Jonsson trade for a young center that has like 2or3 million dollar contract like the young center from the heat the bam ushejdhdh guy so pop can develop him like trash-god like
Jacob Perez Alex Len was a FA and no-one offered to sign him. That was our opportunity gone now Hawks just got him for so cheap
Great analysis. Great video. As a spurs fan, I definitely appreciate this.
why does Lonnie have a larger guarantee than Dejounte?
Jay Rami because Murray has already been in the NBA for 2 seasons. When Murray first started, his contract looked like Walker’s with 5 years in length. Walker makes more because each offseason the cap rises, which pays more to incoming players.
Murray is way underpaid
he wont be
Great detail. Thanks for the video!
Here's an updated video that was made 07/22/18. ua-cam.com/video/yNK1HqKJbd8/v-deo.html
nice man appreciate it
Bertans got 20 mill
Can you do a update please
Xino Fiero I’ll be making a new video once we get the reported numbers for Forbes’ deal. His contract amount has yet to be made public.
You the real mvp
Great
where is Metu?
There’s been no report or indication yet that Metu will be signed.
took you all day to reply
Well done, and easy to follow. I love this kind of stuff.
Thanks 👍🏼
Veddy nice job explaining the current cap situation! hoping the rest of the MLE gets used to sign 2nd round pick Metu to a longer contract.
Thanks for checking out the video👍🏼
Trade everyone for draft picks this is a garbage team just keep our rookies get younger we ain't better team rebuild.
Btw, those contracts you gave JJ and Anderson what value is that?
Thanks for watching! The $831,311 is what is called a roster charge. It doesn’t mean Redick and Anderson would return for that amount, it just means there needs always be 12 players on the roster at minimum. Spot those roster chargers are place holders for future players.
Oh great understood now, very underrated channel
Appreciate this vid, great detail
Thanks! I don't post that much here, but maybe I'll reconsider using YT more.
great video 😁
Keep Simmons he has heart. We need to evolve younger while competing. He have home grown talent ready to fill in a spot. Let's not contaminate the system with too many free agents that will not adapt to the culture. Gasol will opt out and take less money but that is not enough. I did not like Dedmon's attitude during the playoffs. I will be shocked if he returns. Danny Green better find his 3pt shot....his defense is keeping him on the team.
bring back splitter
Agree, the Spurs went down when they traded Splitter. Even worst when they trade Boris Diaw
