"Fantasy" by DyE 4K Topaz upres and sound remaster I originally cut this for a Memorial Day party. They wanted something cool to run on a projector. It is a happy ending. Instrumentality fucking sucks. That’s the whole point of Evangelion. Being alive is worth getting your heart broken. You might be sad, you might be depressed, but at least you exist. You exist as an individual with free will. Because of your free will, it is within your power to love yourself and be happy. Therefore, you’ll always have the chance to be happy, as long as you exist. “Anywhere can be paradise as long as you have the will to live. After all, you are alive, so you will always have the chance to be happy. As long as the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth exist, everything will be all right.” Whereas, in Instrumentality, everyone is merged in a single euphoric orgasm cloud. Sure, this will take your pain away, but that is because there is no difference between existence and non-existence in Instrumentality. It renders “you”, as a concept, completely meaningless. It is basically the same thing as committing suicide. You want to get rid of your pain and sorrow to be happy. Human Instrumentality, just like suicide, takes away the main purpose of being without pain, by destroying the individual.
