St. Hallvards Turnering er en miniturnering i riddersportsgrenen dyst som avholdes lørdag 27. mai på Akershus Festning. Turneringen er etter invitasjon og følger riddersport.no's regelement. I år er det invitert tre riddere til å delta: danske Joakim Løvgren, norske Per Estein Prøis-Røhjell og Bente Andresen.

Poleaxe fighting is what I'm most interested in in the world of HEMA, but damn this just seems way too dangerous. Head impacts cause all kinds of problems. Studies are showing that even repeated soccer headers have an effect on memory. Also aren't these pole hammers? I still think this is awesome and looks like fun.

I have been in love with historical eras for a while now, my favourite being the Medieval times. I had no idea that jousting was still a sport! I wonder, do these people do this just as a hobby, or joust as a living?
