TARE though more effective and possible in the presence of PV thrombosis is prohibitively expensive.
BCLC is in fact a modification of Okuda staging system. The latest modification in 2022 that subdivide B stage into three sub stages and tumor upto 5 cm can be resected in operable cases. Hong Kong Japanese and Korean staging systems are most suitable in the majority of Asian patients.
