Unfortunately, this camera is very basic and from my experience, not made to last. I had that happen to me as well and it eventually closed on its own. I have called Fujifilm customer service directly for questions about issues I had with this camera, and I know you can send your camera in for repairs if that's something you want. If it's been more than a year since you bought the camera, there will be a fee. I wish they had troubleshooting instructions in their manual, but a lot of these repairs, I had to figure out on my own. I recommend carrying this camera in a case and just being careful with it. In my experience, it's been when I was just throwing it in my bag, that I had issues with it. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm not entirely sure. I had it for a whole year before it did this. When I looked in the user manual for answers, there was absolutely nothing in there in regards to this error code. I called Fujifilm directly and the only option they had was for me to send it in for repair, so I figured this out on my own.

So it just randomly did it on it's own? Alright. Well hopefully it's just a random one time thing. Has it jammed again on you since?@@arizonaventure

I'm glad I could be of help! Yes, I agree. It is a temporary fix and if it works for you, then it works, but would not be good for resale. I recommend taking it to a repair shop, especially if you know it will work and the filaments in place make connection. I ended up finding a new battery compartment in excellent condition that works, but I am planning to keep these parts for backup and have a repair shop fix it for me!

It sounds like the film was exposed to light and the lens is jammed again. How old is your camera?

@@arizonaventure yes.. these last films were certainly exposed to light.. it is the second pack that I use for testing... because the positioning "click" does it, the shutter button works but both with the film and without anything, after When I click, the error appears

@@waterlife3785 I was asking how old it was, because if it's within warranty, you can send it to Fujifilm for repair. But I looked everywhere in the user manual for this error code issue and could not find any info on it whatsoever, so I had to figure it out on my own when mine got jammed. I'm wondering if there's a part causing it to jam over and over again. It might be worth taking it to a repair shop. They usually do estimates for repair for free.

I have the same issue, the shutter wont open when the photos are taken.

Were you able to figure it out? Sometimes, I troubleshoot by taking the batteries out and putting them back in again. Also, if your camera is within the warranty, you can get Fujifilm to replace or repair your camera.

For anyone in the future who looks for this: I was able to gently push the lens back in and then do the steps of this video. There was a lot more confidence in pushing it back into the body once I had the back of the camera open, though. Also, if you still had film in the camera when you opened it-don’t toss it! The next photo on that cartridge is ruined, but all of my photos after that just had a small light leak in the corner of the photo. Totally fine and kinda artsy for a personal photo.

@@by_yulya I opened the back so I could see what was going on in there, and then gently pushed the lens back in. Then the video helped me get it back on the right track.

Is your camera fairly new? If it's within the warranty, you can get Fujifilm to replace or repair it at no cost.

I would say not super forcefully, but enough to get it to move. Mine was jammed for sure.

It was a dream come true!!

There's no way to turn the flash off, but, because these were taken during the day, it wasn't triggered. I learned that light is your friend, when it comes to this camera.
