You know... some of these lyrics read different, feel different, after the best ending in Veilguard.

If he had just chosen her and let go of his pride and mistakes, they could have been happy in this world instead. He just couldn't let her love him.

You know, I haven't played DA4 yet, but I've seen spoilers and watched the playthroughs. I didn't cry, but I walked around all day with mixed feelings. Then I went to read the fics, looking for a happy ending, damn it. I still haven't cried. And now I accidentally stumbled upon the song, and when I saw the first lines, I was covered with feelings that had been accumulating for these damn 10 years, and I burst into tears. I just finished The Veil Guard and didn't know their were 3 endings as well as 1 secret ending but the end hit me pretty hard. This story has really meant alot to me throughout DA lore but thankfully this story can continue in Veil Guard though. Amazing song btw!
