Hello everyone, I'm a college student who lives in Northern Arizona. I post videos of interesting things I find while out exploring Arizona. I visit mines, ruins, small towns, and other locations.
I make these videos to share with friends and family, so don't expect anything professionally made.

This was going to be longer, but I accidently deleted the second half of the footage. Probably not that interesting anyways as it was mostly me fighting through brush and catclaw. No relics and barely any road. Don't recommend.

Didn't see the deer till it was right on top of me. Probably shouldn't have been speeding down the forest roads anyways.

It’s amazing how tenacious those roots can be in their quest for water.
@@AbandonedMines11 Mother Nature is pretty amazing
Watch for rattlesnake it looks just the perfect place for them to be there.
Yeah, that turquoise colored stuff was interesting. Looked like it was only present in the area of the adit. They might have been mining that specifically.
hop off furry
nice ace
It is pretty amazing how large some of the equipment is that one finds at abandoned mines. I’ve learned that sometimes larger equipment was brought up to the mine in pieces and then assembled on site for obvious reasons.
You're probably right about it being assembled on site. The roads were probably in much better shape when it was active. Probably was too much work to remove the tank once operations were shut down.
Just checked the topo maps and it shows there are two adits and three prospects. The tank was near one adit. I found some overgrown two-tracks which leads to some of the other prospects and the other adit. I'll have to check those out next time I'm down by horseshoe dam.
@1:50, Nice Altoids!
Absolutely amazing view
You're near Miami? Have you ever been to Inspiration Mine?
I don't think the original Inspiration Mine is still there. Pretty sure the new Miami Mine destroyed it. Anyways Freeport McMoran owns it and I don't think they would let me in.
That was very interesting. I wish I had time to explore stuff like this. Thank You & Regards from Ody Slim
Sirys Seriously your a Groan Ass baby Talker Listen to his voice Dude you talk like a fucking Baby are you sucking your thumb right now !!!
From the back, they look like Magpies...
I LOVE GOING TO THE DESERT❤❤❤❤
Those are likely California condors that you see hanging out. They're raised in captivity, released to the wild nearby and lots of them like to congregate on the bridge.
The old bridge was very scary to drive across years ago
good place for rattlesnake.
Certainly was a great view from up there! Thanks for showing all those locks on the bridge, too. I wonder why people do that?
@@AbandonedMines11 It’s a thing couples to show their love is unbreakable. Usually not a good idea to attach them to bridges as it can increase weight of the bridge and someone has to cut them off. I know something like this happened at the Grand Canyon. Park staff cut them off as it was littering.
@ Thanks for the info on that!

"Do Not Pace The Train."
Looks like New Mexico
@@ORIGINALDUNDUNNA Close, Arizona
The stacked rocks are not Indian ruins .. That is not how Indians built their dwellings in southern AZ.. That is either an old defensive position built by early explorers or conquistadores.. or a place that settlers/prospectors used for protection.
Interesting, thanks for the info.
Do you need noise on the ground?
When your the enemy and you hear that, Pucker those ass cheeks...
por ahi pase en diciembre del año pasado, acababa de salir de ruby rd donde me levantaron
Bro, what's up with that accent that you have there?
It’s a speech delay.
Looks like a copper mine from the blue green streaks could be a vein of copper sulfate
that machine, its beautiful.
Where is that?

ROOM FOR RENT ...... $1,000.00 a month . 💩
Not including utilities lol.
Thumbs 👍 for the effort, wasn't much to see, it must've been pretty amazing when it was built.
The wind kind of ruined the video a bit
Yeah, I know. It was crazy windy today.
That was cool!
What state is that left in
Arizona
Disrepair
Looks like a place by Millican Oregon.
Horrible state its junk
fantastic textures only time produces
nice area
Got one along , Hassampia, box canyon,
You did a really good job on this video, especially showing the specifics, a lot of folks move to quick when showing pertinent details that help make the video more interesting, thanks a lot and keep on Adventuring.
I’ve always wondered about these gauging stations and if they are still used today. The one you show in this video looks to be kind of old and not well kept. I wonder if satellites and other modern technology have made these gauging stations obsolete? Looks like a really scenic hike, though!
@@AbandonedMines11 Plenty of gauging stations are in use. It’s an accurate and probably cheaper way to measure height/stream flow compared to using a satellite. Besides, the only thing I think a satellite could measure would possibly the height of a reservoir. I’ve seen gauging stations usually at or down/upstream of dams. I think it depends on what companies need the data for. Also, trying to remove an old station like this is probably not feasible for the USGS, considering the location. Who knows, they might use it again in the future.
@@NitroTheWolf Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I suppose these old gauging stations are probably still used when water is present. It just seems like an antiquated way to go about doing that. But sometimes the old-fashioned ways are still the best despite all the advances in technology. Really enjoyed the scenery in this hike.
Looks like they're going somewhere
They are running away from me.
@@NitroTheWolf oh okay!
That’s so epic
Looks cool 😎
Looks like fun to go and see. Imagine how excited the men that placed them must’ve been knowing they were possibly the first ever humans to step foot there and leave a mark
Is this gentleman retarded? Does anyone know?
I use to fish there back in the 1990s-early 2000. We would go for pike.....and catch a ton of them. Once watched a pike take down a duck there. I lived in Williams at the time. Miss living in the forest sometimes.
Climate change has drained Lower Lake Mary that used to host record setting Catfish and other stocked game fish. Mormon Lake is just wetlands now too.
Lmfao...
Beautiful machine
With this technology, you really can bring soda to the water fountains when elected class president.
What is the spring like - doe it run year around? I wonder if that has changed since people lived/worker there
