    It looks incredible. I came here looking for knowledge. I'm working on restoring a 1930s Zenith console radio. It's mahogany and the original finish is tinted lacquer. I plan to use the same finish. It's already been stripped and sanded.

      Thanks for the kind words .The radio a perfect piece to work on .You will also have the color pop because of the age of the Mahgonay. I loved the high gloss but on the final coats had to use 2 k stain only because way too many pieces,would have added so much time and money . The radio is small piece you can spend time on a small piece to get that perfect finish. Also this is good video show when you rush or add to much clear coat ua-cam.com/video/WQF4PA5p2rU/v-deo.html

    Thanks dude. I appreciate your time and honest review. I've been fence riding these two for a few years now and am grateful for those facts you shared. That arbor thing @ 5", to me is nonsense and that, I think was the factor I needed. Albeit, I like noted by both manufacturers that the Bosche has the higher RPMs (4800) compared to Dewalt's (3800) to me means less burnishing on the cut with the Bosche at those higher RPMs. However I like the feel of the torque of the Dewalt knowing it's there like an old trusty skil saw. It helps to keep me in check to respect the tool. Plus I don't want to wait for the motor to top out before I can make my cut. A quick on and a motor brake on the off and I'm set. Thanks again

    • @kdcustomwoodworking
      @kdcustomwoodworking 5 днів тому

      Thank for your insights .I tried to show the plus and minis with both saws but for me that 5 inch inch is a deal breaker for me the reason when I make kitchens I tend to go at least 4 and a half inch kickplates .The basebard need to be wider to look finished not look like a extenstion of the kickplate . But it is strange that none of the other saw manufactors have not picked up on this because I don't think there nothing new say tha last 10 years could easily have fixed .Thanks for watching

    Absolutely ridiculous milwaukee only makes one in 12V. Prob some business derp decision to want to sell both types instead of maybe getting it done with one. Anyway, woeful choice - also dewalt one is way better built from a teardown AVE did - he has great channel btw. Top work - subbed sir

      Its true 12 v Milwaukee makes it a pain because you need 2 different batteries because most lilkey you have the bigger battery for the other tools, Dewalt you can even use the Flex volt battiers one battery for all Dewalt tools simple .Thanks for the kind words and welcome to the KD Woodworking family

    I just got mine yesterday in a combo kit from Lowes. Included with the DCW600 Router was the DSC334 Jigsaw, and the DCW 210 Orbital sander, a charger, a 5amp hour battery, a 2 amp hour battery and the tool bag to carry all of the items. At a price of $299 for everything, I couldn't pass it up: Especially since I literally had been wanting all three tools. The two batteries and charger were a very welcome bonus too. Plus every tool is XR MAX BRUSHLESS. It's called the "Woodworkers Combo Tool Kit" and this sale goes until Oct 30th. It's a good deal for what you get.

    A brad nailer is great when trying to hold a glue up together and you don’t want to wait for clamping times. All of these nailers have their place in a shop, including a pin nailer.

Good comment it is so true brad's do have there place thanks for watching .

    I own the DeWalt DWX726 stand and like it, but it isn't even CLOSE to the $720 Bosch folding portable miter saw stand I viewed at a showroom. But I won't spend $720 for a miter saw stand, either! I also won't buy a Saw Stop table saw, or a $2400 16" band saw!!! I didn't buy a DeWalt miter saw after my DeWalt was stolen. Too much money for a tool with too many things I didn't like!

    Can do with out? Wow I think it's because the operator doesn't know how to use it lol. I'm an exterior trim finisher and I use that nailer everyday sometimes 6-10 hours a day and ive been using the same one for 3 years and never have had a problem with my 16g except for today it slipped off of my tool pouch and it dropped and the magazine cracked and now it won't fire unless ypu push the slide forward each time so I'm charging the whole magazine out tonight. I thankfully bought the spares knowing it would happen one day lol but overall I give this nailer a A+ foe anyone out there wanting to buy a brad nailer. Side note i live in Canada and I use it in the winter/summer rain snow what ever and that nailer has been the beat nailer I've owned even over all my air brad nailers this one takes the cake

    • @kdcustomwoodworking
      @kdcustomwoodworking 2 місяці тому

      I'm not sure if you watched the whole video, what I was trying to explain is that the 16 gague gets overlooked most people buy the Brad nailer and the brads are so thin they turn in hardwood sometimes and I think I've had a 16 gauge turn once or twice . Good to know how tough it is . As for my experience take a look at my work on my website tons of videos .I'm a cabinet maker first, and now I'm doing houses all work from A to Z and making UA-cam videos about the experience I'm fortune I have a full-blown cabinet shop and I believe I'm doing some of my best work ever in cabinet making. Thank you for making this and sharing it with the world! Right now I'm at about 10:45 and looking back: When you said that your level was a bit off I thought, 'This is not going to end well'. I always want to ask myself what I see as the key question. 'If I could start all over again how would I do it, knowing what I know now?' Any ideas?

    • @kdcustomwoodworking
      @kdcustomwoodworking 4 місяці тому

      From the back wall to wall not the front where the patio door is there a almost 1 inch out of level . Its easy to hide because there a staircase going there .How did I get that wall to wall out of level wrong was a string with a level wasn't accurate enough . The fix just bought a rotary lazer need it for a 1,000 investment you'll know if your out of level and if your out just cut the strofoam. Part of the problem was that one wall was on bedrock it was hard to get the footer level Other than that which is really minor very happy old and new meet almost dead on , the front door to the patio door which is over 40 foot is dead on . On the old section used Nudura way easier to work with 8 ft section it is tricky to install so take the course . Also I have the video for the old section it was cool to get a concert foundation under the old section was always on dirt . Last I would have went all the way to the top but downtown hydro wire couldn't do it , its a solid foundation with high winds here nice to have . Thanks for watching good question

      The homeowner really has to do their homework. On the house that we are currently working on, we will be installing a DC inverter heat pump that can go down to -30 c or 0 f . I will be installing and will do a video .Thanks for the comment and yes it gets cold here.

    I have a hitachi brad nailer.......gets used 1x a year maybe. I only use the thing if I know FOR SURE I will not be sawing it every again either miter, table, etc because I don't want death needles coming at me!

      @kdcustomwoodworking 8 місяців тому

      Thanks .Well there a big difference between a 16-ga and 18-ga brad this tool is really for a shop that does built-in or an interior carpenter and the DIYer that wants to up his game looking at the price of a air compressor compared to batteries . Thanks again for your comment

      @@kdcustomwoodworking *CORRECTION* I have a 23 gauge 'pin nailer'. It's sole job is to hold wood together when I due a glue up and it's awkward since I'm not an octopus!
