You got a video on how to fold the new Espike that folds down and turns the back wheel?
I believe you’re referring to the Titan model? We have not made a video on that model yet.
Thank you very much. I bought this trainer several years ago but stopped using it after only a couple of years. Now, after watching your video, I suspect I gave up on it because the resistance was too much for me. I didn't know about placing the red capped roller on the left side. I'll try that next time I us it. That may help make pedaling easier. I did manage to use my nearly non existent carpentry skills to construct a device from 2 by 4 lumber, long drywall screws, and a thick dowel rod to keep the trike from rocking and to raise the front wheels to the level caused by the trainer on the rear wheel, and it works fairly well.. Again, thank you for making this video. If I weren't so far from your shop, I'd stop by. It looks like a really good store.
Glad to help!
Since Bentup cycles owner Dana Leiberman bought Bacchetta are they still making these carbon trikes, or was it a short niche build?
The original owners of the Carbon trike have taken it back over. The “new” website is carbontrikes.com
I've been using Crankbrother Eggbeater 3's for over12 years on my Catrike Expedition. Good attachment & float.
I have gone to Kampway Pedals and love them. Don't use any straps and my feet stay put. Use them on my Catrike Dumont Trike.
A Wall-E floaty chair.
😂
@@connecticutyankeepedalleri4188 Glad you agree with me.
Weight limit for this trike?
This trike has a weight limit of 275 lbs
My first trike was a Trident Spike 2. It was a decent trike for the cost but it had stability issues at speeds over about 10-12 mph. The place I bought it at could never correct it. I traded it in toward a Hase for my spousal unit. I should have bought a Stowaway 2.
That’s too bad you had those issues! Hope you keep pedaling in comfort and enjoy the ride.
What about using with a delta trike? Would you need two rollers?
Good question. If the delta trike has a dual-drive setup then you would need a roller system for both wheels. On the other hand if it is a single-drive then you would just need to prop up the non drive wheel with a wooden board or a wheel block. Hopefully that answers your question!
Yes. My Hase has a differential so both rear wheels are drive wheels. Thank you!
Had dropped leg twice bounce off asphalt. Ouch! Worse by far is leg going under the trike frame. Use full-foot-support heel cup pedals here with all the nylon straps removed. No pedaling upward, but I don't do that anyway. Gary AKA: "Jason Stillwater" in the recumbent world.
A leg under the frame is very painful!! Thanks for sharing your experience and helpful information.
Great explanation thanks for showing.
You’re welcome
I've switched to the Pedaling Innovations Pedals with an aftermarket strap . Just couldn't get the hang of the clipless pedals .
Thanks for sharing what works best for you!
@Steven Chanenson it was a cheap one from Amazon. I have, however, dispensed with these (velcro came apart) and have gone back to using the pedals quite happily with the installed pins . I use either a pair of hiking shoes or similar sandals - no issues .
Every trike rider should watch this video. After using clipless pedals ( with foot pain) I tried the platform pedals with the pins . Up hill was fine but down hill with no pressure on the pedals and some bumps my right foot came off and under the frame it went at 22 MPH. Needless to say it was 8 weeks of rest and using a boot for the torn achilles tendon to heal and get back on the trike. I'm hoping more trike riders watch this video. Thank you for doing this.
Thanks for sharing your story with us!!
Your videos are very informative.
Glad we could share the info
Very helpful, a great presentation. I like the helping arms connected to the frame.
Glad it could help!
Still enjoying mine (over many years), and have made modifications since then. Changed the gearing system to an 11 speed rear sprocket assembly. Moved the vertical steering post all the way forward and then added a modified set of handle bars to accommodate were I wanted my elbows and hand positioning to be at. This is relative to the front of my body ( due to the maximum upright seat position...my choice). Moving the vertical post forward meant I had to modify the aluminum slats for the front fenders as they were in the way. Still treating it as my experimental vehicle and seeing what I like to see on trikes relative to the trike industry as a whole. My next focus will be on the seat.
Thanks for sharing your experiences!
I recently purchased a used one of these used and would like to know more background. Anyone know how many were made, or how to read dates from its serial number?
We are not aware of how many were made nor how to compute any date of manufacture from the serial number- sorry!
thank you very much you are very helpful.👍👍
I received my new TerraTrike All Terrain last month. I'm still getting it adjusted to fit me, but it is going to be a great trike.
Enjoy the ride!
Thank you for the video
You’re welcome!
Like your third method best. Both tadpoles and deltas here. On a delta sit side-saddle, swing one leg over frame, while seated. Even doable to/from a wheelchair on a delta trike!
Great!
I have used my MR110 for a year and a half and it works great! I like how easy it is to put my trike on the trainer. I had some concerns about the trainer when I started using it. I contacted the company and the trainer's designer walked me through the problem (my tire was out-of-round).
Great to hear that they helped you out! Enjoy the cycling!
do you shift to the gears for going up the hill to put it in the lowest gear? good video
For folding the trike you will need to have the chain in the smallest sprockets both front and rear. This would put the front in the smallest chain ring which is for hill climbing. The smallest sprocket in the rear is the highest gear which is NOT for hill climbing. Hopefully that answers your question.
Hi, guys, can you ship to the uk?
Unfortunately we’re not set up to ship trikes. Sorry!!
@@connecticutyankeepedalleri4188 thanks for replying. You’re professional.
How do I change from Km to Mph on my Trident Espike
While the system is on - press and hold the SET button for 2-3 seconds and this will activate settings. > press the SET button to toggle through the options till you get to #3. > above the flashing #3 you’ll see Mph or Km/H . By pressing the + button you’ll be able to switch from one to the other. Once you have the MPH on the screen you can press and hold the SET button again to return to the main screen. Hopefully this helps!
@@connecticutyankeepedalleri4188 I will try this!!! Thank you very much!!!
Very helpful video. Thank you very much with greetings from germany.
Thanks Stefan!! We’re very happy that it was helpful.
I agree. Found helpful for my quad as well. From New Zealand 🇳🇿
Never mind I found a release button on the side I had to push and I’ve got it thank you
Glad you got it!!!
I have not used my trident spike Trike In two years I have filled up the tires I have got the brakes on lock I have remove the seat I have taken a lever down below and let it hang as you suggested and the bike will still not fold
What am I doing wrong
I didn't realize until a few weeks ago that you all had been making so much video content. It's great stuff, keep up the good work!
Thanks!!! We try to make a few videos here and there. Usually when we have some down time and aren’t in our peak season.
Nice video... Thanks Dave (Josh, Jordan)
Much appreciated!
Ambient sound would be much better than that music.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. Might have to do that on one of our future videos.
Thanks for sharing. Looks like a lovely ride.
You’re welcome! It was a great day for a ride

Thank you for the taking the time to leave an encouraging comment!
Great job guys! It's a great trail, try it folks, it's a wonderful experience!
Thanks Tim!! It is such a great trail and hopefully more people come and enjoy it!
Very pretty ride. Enjoyed the video. Is there any money in the budget to pave it and make it a smoother ride?
Thanks! Money could probably be raised for such a project. Getting permission might be a little harder thing to do. It definitely is something we’d like to see happen in the future!
Beautiful 🚴
Price ??
Pricing has been changing a lot lately. I believe right now it is around $1,100
Sound is completely desync from film
Thanks for the feedback. Not sure what the issue is. We’ve watched it on multiple devices and each time it was ok.
Alas, production of the carbon trike has been returned to the Swedish company who created it. I guess this was a limited partnership. Bummer because there are probably no dealers in the U.S. for this amazing, carbon trike.
We shall see what happens!
@@connecticutyankeepedalleri4188 That's all we can do is wait. Seems kind of crazy that the sold the production of the carbon trike back to the company that developed the product for them.
From the research I did, Carbon Trike, who is a world class carbon trike builder struck a product run deal. Before Bacchetta sold their company to Bentup Cycles in LA. I sure if you contacted them on Sweden their could be a way for you to buy on. The company does have options.
bummer such a great bike shop is no where near me. I envy the locals that have access to this shop.
Hope you can find one close to you soon!
@@connecticutyankeepedalleri4188 sadly recumbent shops are rare here in SE Virginia. The closest shop doubles as a post office and offers limited sales and brands. Not worth my time to be frank. Nearest real shops are 200 miles away. Really surprised recumbents aren't more popular. I currently own an HP Velo Gekko and have 1500 miles on her after a year. Only possible because of recumbent design. No way could I do those numbers on a regular bike. The soreness and fatigue would be too much for me.
Available in India?
Terratrike doesn’t have any dealers in India at this time. If you look at their dealer locator on the Terratrike.com website you’ll be able to see where they are.
That’s what it’s all about. 👍
Do you have prices ?
Prices and availability are listed on our website. cypbikes.com We are currently out of stock on the Ramblers
Thank you for the best explanation that I have seen as a new trike owner.
Thanks for the kind words!
Oh yes Great Presentation Thank you very much
I wish I had a place around here like that to ride where you don't have to worry about getting killed from behind.
Reminds me of when I used to do the Chariton Classic Bike ride. We stayed overnight at Red Haw before the ride.
It’s such a nice campground and park!
this is great. glad to see it and how you move it around and the purpose behind some of the parts. my 559 kickstand (thanks for showing what that is!) seems to be missing the rubber(?) end piece. can that be purchased or do i need to buy a whole new kickstand?
Most likely you’ll need to get a whole new kickstand. I’ll check and see if we can get just that piece!
We are able to purchase just the rubber bumper piece. If you’d like you can go to our website(cypbikes.com) and either email us or call and then we can start the process of getting you one!
Just hard to understand - a shop having such access to many manufacturers & models - not showing at least 1 (one) delta. For those new to 'trikes' - you become yet just another LBS (local Bike Shop) - that gives short shrift to the 'other' form of trikes - like most of the others around the country.
Why does your model have Schwalbe Marathon 1.75" tires instead of Big Ben 2.15" that are listed on the TerraTrikes site for the Rambler?
They did a running change. Most likely it was due to availability or they wanted to a little bit wider tire.
