That was very unlike Jay to hand off his guitar to random person in audience. In multiple videos he is heard verbally abusing audience members for touching ANY of his music gear. He was an unpredictable spontaneous sort tho so it isn’t out of character and it was a really kool, bet that guy felt awesome getting to play a few chords with his rock hero screaming along!

I was listening to a documentary interview about Devo from Gerald Casale... and he talked about this story of how Devo and Dead Boys were performing on the same gig, Dead Boys being the resident punks thought DEVO were too weird and tried to... no pun intended... punk them... and they all got into a fight, but quickly afterwards it squashed any beef or ill will. DEVO actually got more cred and respect after that incident.
