Housekeeping the platform at scale - Eugene Fidelin
very nicely explained , thankyou so much...
This should've had confetti flying every 10 seconds after makepad introduction, the most emotionally deescalated presentation of insane value for developers... Thank you!!!
Seems to have an audio issue. Only coming in on the left channel.
lol super basic shit.
shame about the terrible audio, bad quality and only on the left channel
very impressive demo
nice tutorial
Quite possibly the most impressive demo I have ever seen (Well apart from "The Mother Of All Demos"). I love the idea of being able to deliver on the web platform and bypassing all the web platform cruft. And it's Rust!
So far, there is no effective manual for me to refer to
Yep, I'd love to try out Makepad for simple iOS apps and Mac apps, even just for personal helper utilities, but yea no help/tutorial/step by step for various platforms, so this puts a bit of a hurdle in front of it.
promo sm
This is looking good. I would love to do real time UI development but if that is not simple to implement, I don't think I'd bother investing into it.
If makepad becomes xCode for Rust, I'm ready to switch from Swift and SwiftUI.
One of the best UA-cam videos I have ever watched. Now, I understand the difference between these 3. Great job, teacher!
This is essentially the design of my AI VTuber and Twitch streamer. Fully capable of long term memory, stores those in a cloud Vector DB, Short term memory is a local in-memory VectorStore, TTS via Elevenlabs, Image recognition and LLM via GPT-4. I think this presentation is awesome! I'd love to see your source code if you get a chance

thank you lisa from india🙏
Isn't Intercept a pharma company?
it's a Microsoft partner 😄
Very helpful. Thank you so much
I did love your explanation about the differences between these three environment, Lisa. It clarified a lot of doubts that I had in my mind about it. Thanks a lot.
Just the content I was looking for, thanks for sharing in such a clear and concise way!
Well donde. Thank you Lisa
What about using a VM with SSIS inside? Thanks.
Thank you Lisa, that was essentially a master class on the differences. Excellent. How does Snowflake compare? (separate video probably and also depends on the use case of course). Thank you again for this information. Job well done.
Hi, my name is Henk, nice to meet you
Isn't it true now that it's not necessary to know Spark for Databricks? I thought the transactional layer abstracts away the need to write Spark code and instead provides options to use SQL or Python.
I think Spark is very similar to python in Syntax... I think people use a combination of Spark and SQL in a given Notebook in Databricks.
Isn't it true now that it's not necessary to know Spark for Databricks? I thought the transactional layer abstracts away the need to write Spark code and instead provides options to use SQL or Python.
Hi Dan, in many ways, you can view Apache Spark as a package. We can program it with Python, Scala, and many other languages. So, even though you can program Python in Databricks, just Python is not enough, unfortunately. We also need the powers of Apache Spark! However, if you already know Python, Apache Spark is just onee step away :) And, even though it's technically true you can program SQL in Databricks, I do find that the SQL language by itself does not offer enough flexibility for most use cases. But, to be fair, some people are much more handy with SQL than me, haha!
Awesome explanations. Thanks, Lisa Hoving
Great presentation. Thanks
nice course
Thank you for sharing It really helped me to understand the difference between these 3 ☺️☺️
Beautiful home and the price is awesome!
