I saw this when it came out. We were the only ones there for a midweek matinee. I was young & had no idea who Bukowski was. 1987? This movie scared me away from the bars!
Esta es la secuencia de geraldin chaplin encarnando en cuerpo y alma en la película cría cuervos a una música pianista semi profesional y poseída dejándose desenmascarar por el espíritu carnal de su abusivo y misogino esposo
The sad truth is, Jim only had a few tricks. He was in lots of live TV dramas besides the three movies. His character was always the same, a young man in need of a father. He didn’t really act, he just channeled his inner pain. If he had lived, he would have aged out of the roles that he could play.
The most epic day of my life, freezing my arse off outside the civic for 12 hours but by god when they said t shirt mate, ok mate the adrenaline pumped
Many of you might be wandering about Henry's odd way of speaking. Rourke is actually trying to mimic Charles' manner of speach. I for one love it. Along with his complete disregard of ego, not an easy thing to do when you're the star of the movie. Bravo Mickey R. Should've gotten an Oscar.
I hate to step on your hero, but James is overrated. Had he not died tragically, he may have developed into a great actor, but his tiny legacy owes its endurance to his sublimated myth. His acting was strained and exaggerated. He rarely established real rapport with his co-actors and his actions often appeared contrived and awkward. Compare him, for example, with the young De Niro or Brando, particularly the latter in The Men. This is really powerful, even after all these years:- ua-cam.com/video/b3QSF88grPE/v-deo.html
@@svendbosanvovski4241 No, not exaggerated at all. Among the first of the natural actors....his more realistic style would become the standard from about the late 1960s on toward today.
@@svendbosanvovski4241 Overrated? Not in my way of thinking. I think that awkward way of acting was felt as realistic. I never found him strained or exaggerated, only when it needed to come across that way. He may not, to you, have been as good as those you mentioned, but it's on the screen for those who appreciated him for how he did act. It was unique and only in those three pictures was he able to show what was and what was to be, which of course never got to be. I appreciated your honest comment.
@@shawneedalegrimm9728I know many adore and admire Jimmy and I admit to have a great affection for him. But I found his East of Eden tedious and unconvincing. I will watch it again. Maybe I missed something. Thank you for your courtesy Shawnee. It a rear thing these days.
James dean such a cute actor❤

La niña se llama Ana Torrent e tiene la misma edad que yo.
Hey!! That's Geraldine Chaplin.....Charlie Chaplin's daughter
es buenísima!por qué no está subida completa?
Porqué no está completa esta peli?
He´s more like Steve McQueen meets Brad Pitt, than the actual Brad Pitt. But Jimmy is... WAS... more talented than both of them.
