Rc4wd gelande 2 fj cruiser
Testing out the new rugged tires. I am a big fan of buying expensive branded Pitbull & Pro-Line Tires but for this set of new mud tires I decided to go
“El Cheapo” because I just loved the way they look and also the rare outer diameter size they are at 4.25” outer X standard 1.9” inner. Mostly the outer sizes are either 4.19” or 4.35” and but at 4.25” I figured they’d be a perfect diameter for my FJ. As you can see I hope you agree. My last set were 4.55”
Outer diameter Pro-Line Interco TRXUS tires and as awesome and scale looking as they are they were all out just way too big and made my rig look disproportionate. In my opinion 4.19”’s are too small in diameter and 4.35’s are getting up there in size so the perfect in between would be 4.25’s.
The tires are a local “Exo” 4x4 brand i think and are very cheap for a set considering I normally pay about $130-$150 for a set of Branded tires but these ones were a steal at $50 for a set of 4. So I had very little
To loose i figured so I bought them.
In conclusion as you can clearly see the performance of the Tires are perfect. They grip well and they have so many Nobs that climbing rocks is a breeze as I am
Sure mudding would be too. The compound is fairly hard and I’m using standard soft foams but they hold the weigh of my rig perfectly. Not looking like I have flat tires. At present setup using the rc4wd cloth roof and no plastic windows my rig weighs a very healthy 4kg all up which is about 2.3-2.5 pounds. So she’s not light but she’s not heavy either.
Thanks for watching.

      DLE55 RA. Way more than enough power for what I want and need and enough space in the cowling for the electric onboard remote starter. No more dead stick landings for me. It’s already saved me twice which otherwise would have been crash landings as the motor cut out on the downwind run.

    I was just searching on Google for some info on Xcub takeoff/landings for Microsoft Flight Sim 2020. And I thought, "Let me see what someone does taking off the first time in the Xcub" only to see a guy do pretty flawless on an uneven field with debris and it's surface being hard dirt! Be glad you don't have to roll too far with that third wheel to get to Vr, I've just flown through 10 of 12 legs on an Alaskan bush trip in 3kt winds so taking it out in more severe wind conditions is a no go for right now. On the topic of the video though, those RC's are absolutely incredible! The RC reminded me taking off of one of those C-130s that can basically do a superman takeoff! What some power that sucker has! Next, the simulator community needs RC built into the software eventually. Since sims have all the landmarks, cities, airports, etc., it would be incredible to have one to actually get in closer to some scenery. Got a sub from me, I'll be checking some vids out afterwhile. The closest airplane model I got was a foam plane that you could throw and it would boomerang right back to you, lasted me 5 days as a kid. Cheers!

    Hello, i just saw your video. Just hope that you've checked your elevator again to make sure it's smooth. In the video these are set like ailerons - set servo reverse on one side. More about the DLE 55RA - the motor turns a lot more. The engine's response behavior is also very poor. Speed at approx. 6100 - 6200 should be feasible. Otherwise very nice plane. I am currently considering whether to buy the XCub or the Supercub. Greetings from Austria

    • @mikesrcreviewchannel3685
      @mikesrcreviewchannel3685 3 роки тому

      Thanks for that yes, We live about 3500 ft above sea level which did effect my motor’s performance on the static test as you may have heard. The response was slow snd the rom maxed out heaps lower than normal at sea level. Normally the rpm maxes out at close to 6750rpm ok my telemetry on this particular Prop, i corrected that by way of needle valve adjustments prior to actually flying it at my field close to my house. In regards to the (“elevators”) functioning as ailerons (similar to a fighter jets like f16’a that use their elevators as ailerons (Elevons), “I intended that” and I achieved it by setting up active “switchable” mixes. That’s why you can see I can cycle them with the mix active and also without the mix active. Meaning i can switch them on and off mid flight as I wish. They do work very nicely in the air & I only use the elevon function When I am doing “Unrealistic XCUB” moves for fun, like aerobatics. Mostly I just fly as XCUBs are intended to fly, just circuits and slow flying. When used with full ailerons they add so much more roll rate. I also mixed in some “Crow” function for high altitude full speed “nose diving” and I also mixed in a ground speed brake mix for when I land a bit too fast so the ailerons go all the way down while the elevators go all the way up to spoil the airflow and slow it down. She weighs 15kg on the dot with 750 ml’s of fuel and 5 3S Lipo packs, x2 for the receiver which one is for redundancy, x1 for the onboard EME elec starter, one is for Led lights and one is for the Spark Plug. The on board starter is awesome because i can turn the motor back on if it cuts out in mid air as long as it is not out of fuel. In short I have been flying for over 23 years now both big planes like this and big Jet EDF’s to 800 size 3D Helicopters. I love this hobby and I absolutely Love this plane. She performs so docile and true if setup correctly, she is very slippery with this type of undercarriage and is somewhat faster than my Older supercub 1/4 scale. This is a 1/3.5 scale so it’s a far but bigger than the SuperCub. The only negative I can say is that they need to supply it with a beefier undercarriage system. I personally am Looking around for a “same size option” (Carbon Fiber) undercarriage. The one from Hangar 9 is just way too soft & any mild to heavy touch down always bends it almost striking my prop on the grass. I don’t want to get the bungee type UC because it will defeat the purpose of buying an XCUB which in reality was made to be significantly faster than the super cub of Carbon cub. Greetings from Australia. You guys have so many lovely & very expensive “Jet Turbine Models there in your country, and also in Switzerland and Germany. “Unbelievable” some of the model planes that come from your region of the world. Thanks for watching & warmest regards.

    There are 2 version for TLC70. Old version is for 313 wheel base same as TRX 4 sport. New version ($25 more) is for 324 and comes with wider fender flares, sliders, and body mounts. You will have to cut the bed if you keep the mounting post of the TRX 4. There is a video where one can mount the existing shocks at an angle without the cantilever shocks and not use the shock mount which allow the bed close to the ladder frame.

Heaps quieter than the 2 blade and it Max’s out at 6300rpm at my local field which is 2820 feet above sea level. At Thant she pulls about 10kg-13kg of dynamic thrust depending on density altitude. We fly mostly before 11am and at that I am able to optimise and maximise my engine performance. I love the prop and I love the dle55ra. • @mikesrcreviewchannel3685
      @mikesrcreviewchannel3685 3 роки тому

      Hello there. In answer to your question “No” I didn’t need to modify or do anything to make the pro-line shooters fit. They’re actually a perfect fit for the TRX4 in terms of the offset they come with out of the box. They’re a little on the light side as they are “as the tittle suggests” (Composite) meaning the outside face is made from alloy and the runner ring and everything else is plastic. “Very strong and flexible plastic at that” All I did to counter that was to put Lead weights I purchased from my local tire centre who sold me the lead weights you can stick on for wheel balancing. They work the best as they can form a circle to mount and stick onto the inner ring. All up they are very nice wheels but because of the name brand (Pro-Line) they are fairly expensive.

    • @mikesrcreviewchannel3685
      @mikesrcreviewchannel3685 3 роки тому

      @@SteFFy7469 yes if Pro-Line started to make a set of full metal BeadLock wheels they almost definitely would be more expensive. However I don’t think that is the only reason proline went composite, I think it is also to cater for the people who do Comps with their rigs. Most of the rock crawlers I have seen these wheels being used on are competition rigs where every micron of a gram matters and makes a difference in the overall performance of their rigs. I on the other hand was disappointed when I received them in the mail and upon opening the package found them to be half plastic “especially after paying so much for them. As the saying goes though “Don’t criticise the cuisine before it’s served” because when I was mounting my PiTBull Braven Berserker Tires on therm and also the The Proline BF Goodrich Km3 1.9”x4.75” tires I was amazed at how easily they were to fit. It took literally 2-3 mins max per wheel and tire whereas my other set of wheels take absolutely ages upon ages to put tires on them so it deters me from changing tires but on the proline’s it’s a breeze and I don’t mind changing the tires around every so often

FYI I also ran 4.75” outer diameter 1.9” inner diameter Pro-Line BF Goodrich KM3 to match the wheels. They fit perfectly without any difficulty whatsoever. Just a word of warming you’ll be up for about $300 Aud or $240ish USD. They’re not cheap.

    Hey! Let's be friends! I am also collecting my D90 right now! I already have my first video! But I ran into a lot of problems (((What is the height of the shock absorber do you have now and what was it from the factory? Team raffe co release a chassis with a height of 100mm and this is a problem for me (((The car is very high(((

      Hello my friend. Thank you for your support and watching my video. Yes I love my D90 defender. My one is Rc4wd which is very similar to the team raffy version. Yes i know team raffy is very high. My choice of shocks is the boom racing “scale rear shock” from asiatees.com it cost $40usd approx and separates the shock and the spring so it looks scale. I use 70mm shocks which is perfect for the d90. It gives awesome articulation and a scale look when it is not moving.
