Lost in Bangkok’s Biggest Park: Biking & Floating Market
Join me on an exciting adventure as I explore Bangkok’s largest park, the stunning Green Lung. My journey starts at the Wat Khlong Toei Nok Pier, where I hop on a boat and head over to rent a bicycle. Biking after a long time was a bit of a struggle, and I nearly took a fall a couple of times! But after a scenic ride, I finally made it to the massive Green Lung Park, getting lost along the way and finding a cool birdwatching tower.
Afterward, I biked over to the Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market, though I arrived as it was closing. It turned out to be much bigger than I expected, and I even took a relaxing longtail boat ride up the canal. Although I didn’t get to eat at the market, I ended the day with a nice meal back in my area. This vlog captures the beauty, adventure, and friendliness of the people in Bangkok’s hidden gems!

I found myself smiling while watching your video, until I saw the price of Pad see ew…. Holy guacamole, that’s like, almost 3 times more expensive than how it should be sold normally (which is usually around 1-2 usd) well if you say it’s good then it is, it did look delicious tho and it seems that they cooked it with seasoned-grilled chicken, may be that is why the price is sky-high. Still, loving your vlog, so peaceful and enjoyable. I hope you have a great time :) Side noted : The rush hour in the morning usually started around 6:30-9:30 And around 5:30-7:00 in the evening. I hope this will help you a little from getting canned-sardines treatment in the train while traveling. Wait… I just noticed that you actually staying at the same alley as me???? … hello neighbor 😂 (not the same building tho) About the bank.. @@RaiWayOut haha it’s just that most of Thai are Buddhist and every village has their own temple because temple has become very relevant to life. From birth to death. Back in the ancient time, People would go to the monk at temple to give good name to the newborn as the monk was more educated and people go to temple when they are sick ..for blessing and to make good merit so it uplifting their soul. And when people die, we organize the funeral at temple either burry or cremation. And people go to temple everyday to make merit as a symbol and practice of selflessness, give? Empathy, etc. or people go to temple to seek for advice from the monk in any case about life too so yeah, we seems that we needed to have that many temple to handle all those job 😅😅😅😅

The small shrines are spirit houses. You will see them everywhere in Thailand, from houses & small businesses to large, elaborate ones outside skyscrapers. They are for good luck based on the traditional Thai (and SE Asian, in general) belief that there are spirits living everywhere. The soup will contain galangal and not ginger. It is less pungent, but has stronger flavor. Galangal balances the smell and flavor better. In the US it is common to substitute ginger, which is why a lot of Thai food there is good, but just not the same. Yes, mosquitoes like some people better. I almost always wear pants, even when its 50C (120F) here. Good news is Thailand is heading into the dry season, so less mosquitoes. Suggest to go to the river in the evening on 15 November for Loy Krathong. Don't have the paper lanterns in Bangkok anymore, but still should be a large festival.

Many people are taught that one or the other of the chopsticks methods is the proper one. That's not historically correct. As far as I was able to research, both methods are accepted, you should use the one that works better for you, and that depends a lot on the size and shape of your hand. I use the same one as both of you. However, for *cooking* chopsticks, the other method is apparently safer. Not a matter of etiquette, just safety. I guess you get a stronger grip.

Introducing Wat Phra Kaew, which is a royal temple built and has a long history. There's a place I want you to go. That is, the temple is made entirely of wood. Much more beautiful than cement or concrete. You can find information online.

I do eat shrimp shell just because im too lazy to peel, Its not that bad tho, shrimp fat that the head is the best part. Very brave of you to eat Tomyam without rice even Thais dont do this.
