It occurred to me that the young people walking in Halifax are so unaware of her strategic history, unless they study history at one of her five universities.

Beyond the both lovely and interesting buildings Halifax is steeped in history. Much the history is of Colonial times pre Confederation. Halifax is older than all the Western Canadian Cities as lovely as they are. In so many ways it will be magnificent to see Halifax grow to one million people and beyond. Thanks for the video which is great!

We live in Truro ns , we have neighbors from Saskatoon ,Niagara falls, Ottawa One our neighbors made the comment,this is what New England ,mid west , Ontario Québec was like in the 1970s , kicked back , relaxed,you dont see this any more,Truro was a few years. back voted oon of the best small towns to raise a family,nice placé to retire,not hard to see why watch Caroline Edwards I Just got back from Nova scotia

A great video! Some interesting contrasts with Europe. One being the clean streets. One can clearly see the impact of winter on the pavement but again it all looks so clean. Halifax is a beautiful city that, at this point, is not oversaturated with visitors.

Oslo is lovely and in so many ways reminds me of Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada twenty years ago. Halifax and Oslo both have hilly streets. Halifax NS has similar older structures but mostly in brick. Halifax has many modern high rises, lots of blue glass, and taller condo & apartments buildings springing up all over the city. Both cities look very comfortable without the cold feeling of some North American cities. Obviously Oslo is comfortable in her own shoes and in that she is very similar to Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada. Both cities are impressive indeed! It is great to keep historic buildings and then build modern with them for contrast. Oslo should be congratulated for respecting a diversified streetscape.
