Decent guide that covers basic stuff, pretty good tbh. Super appreciative of the effort you've put into this, as we always need more resources for building in regards to both factions. Wouldn't recommend halberds on T2 and saying it is the best design for T2 is just wrong but since T2 is so bad it's not a super big issue. I also wish you put in more pattern recommendations for concrete with visual designs at least for ones that have been out for a year+ since it's good for newer players to start with copy/pasting. But honestly that is such a large conversation in and of itself I'd understand keeping that for something separate or as an additional resource.

One thing I've heard a lot recently is with T2 don't bother with halberds, just build 1x3 MG/AT, depending on tech. Apparently Halberds are just not worth it with arty meta. Do y'all agree with that? Maybe it depends on how far you are from the core?

I get the point about MG range, but in 115 countless meta lines were destroyed after a focused ballista rush killed one piece in the line, leaving the adjacent peices easily flanked by infantry, quickly leading to the entire line being flanked, the cores dropped, and then everything blown up from behind the line. Depth is critical, and too many bases had storm cannons or factories rather than a second line of bunkers, and entirely too few had the ability to shoot at anything behind the line.

When warden logistics get together in a VC it's for a 2hr college lecture on building, when colonial logistics get together in a VC its for drunk kareoke

More emphasis on how you can build bunkers to cater to players would be nice. The number of times I’ve had to run into the open during an artillery barrage because someone squadlocked the bunkers but didn’t install any doors that would otherwise let me just walk directly to the battlements in the safety of a trench is enough to make me hate bunker builders everywhere forever

I used to be a builder but my bases got destroyed twice in diferent wars while I was not logged in so I just stopped playing. This game is fun for squads that just log in, get their tanks, take two or three bases then loggoff.

Even though I play colonial its hard to find this in depth of explanation/level of detail of base building engineering (atleast on colonial, other than directly reaching or working with builers). It would be wonderful to coordinate/ learn from eachother especially from a community perspective. Thank very much for creating this just for future builders (such as myself) and allowing people to learn for the community 👍 especially for newer individuals such as myself who don't have a ton experience but want to learn and how to approach in learning this without feeling overwhelmed.

Hydra's remove mines, Prepared Nuke (1 per critical region) is the best counter to offensive nukes, aim for 0 distance howizter backpacks that touch the entirety of the back of a frontal piece+ directly adjectent to each other side pieces so one covers 3 (will result in 2 packs retailating normally) Also, great video the mine distance thing was a good to know tip
