In case you missed it, Magewell Electronics released new firmware for the Ultra Stream last week adding, among other things, a new web interface and H.265 / HEVC recording. The web interface makes controlling the device much easier and enables remote management, not that it wasn't already an incredibly simple box to operate. The image quality of the new HEVC recording was impressive for the file sizes, but I am not certain how valuable it will be. It was very easy to get it streaming to my in-house RTMP server and the re-stream looked great when viewed on phones and iPads.
