I kept the factory oil pan, it only has about 8 inches of clearance from the ground so I’ll be finding an alternative here soon.

To my understanding yes it can but that code can also be related to other things including the cam/crank sensors.

Yessir. My issue ended up being the ipdm module.

No Sir. The idler pulley helps with belt routing and tensioning, while the water pump pulley directly drives the water pump to circulate coolant.

I did have that code. The motor in question definitely sounds a little questionable. How has the new engine been treating you?

@@JLoweThe motor ran fine, it still starts to this day, but within 10 secs it goes from idling normally to an erratic idle around 1k. When I rev it doesn’t go pass 3k rpm which definitely sounds retarded. No spark or weak spark is what is preventing it from running well. I used enginetechs timing kit which had slight slack. I’m gonna try ordering the cloyes one to redo it. Thank you for responding bro, if you still have this vehicle I’m wondering if you and I are having similar issues.

No problem man. I do still have this vehicle it’s just stored right now due to still experiencing this issue. I think i’m going to end up just swapping the motor to completely get rid of the headache. 😮‍💨 Your issue definitely sounds timing related. Are you positive that everything is aligned? I’ve seen cases to where the timing could’ve been off a tooth and cause similar issues.

@@JLoweI’ve felt your pain! Going back and forth and then turning the vehicle on to see no change is irritating. Atleast with the entire motor removed, you have options to swap or breaking down the motor down to the heads. It could just be a valve or if piston ring related I’d just do the whole swap. Mines was a DE non rev up. Two weeks tops to redo everything and a week to swap and install motor. These motors are expensive to repair, I should’ve just done a LS motor swap instead. Thank you for confirming that it could be timing related. I’m still going to perform a compression test first to see if that could be a problem as well.

I have the full video up on my channel but basically the plastic becomes brittle over time with constant heat cycles of the engine and if you put the motor under an extreme load (trying to launch hard in my case 🤣) it WILL crack.

The IPDM module was my issue.

You should be able to Google search whichever OBD 2 device you bought and add “…driver update” behind it.
