Improving Content Accuracy & Brand Recognition - RivalFlow 2.0
In this video, Mike Roberts, the founder and CEO of SpyFu and RivalFlow, takes viewers on an in-depth tour of the ongoing improvements made to RivalFlow since its launch. With over 650 updates, including around 100 focused on improving content accuracy, Mike explains how RivalFlow helps businesses outperform competitors by filling content gaps.
Mike breaks down the key features, including how RivalFlow reads both your page and competitors’ pages, identifies unanswered questions or better-answered ones, and generates tailored content to close those gaps while maintaining accuracy. One of the main challenges in this process is ensuring that the content remains factually correct without introducing “hallucinations” from AI models like ChatGPT.
To do this, RivalFlow uses competitor pages as a source of truth and carefully highlights potential issues, such as specific brands or locations that may not be relevant to your site. Mike explains how the platform offers users control over highlighted terms and makes it easier to review and adjust content for consistency, ensuring the right information is published.
Throughout the video, Mike gives a behind-the-scenes look at how RivalFlow solves complex challenges like identifying brands, locations, and specific terms while maintaining content quality. He also shares some handy tips on using Google Docs to streamline the content review process.
This video is perfect for marketers and content creators who are interested in learning how RivalFlow can help boost their content accuracy and brand recognition while saving countless hours of manual work. Dive in to discover how these sophisticated tools can transform your content strategy and keep your website ahead of the competition.

So the model isn't aware of custom instructions, so you can't ask them about it. It won't "know" it has that as it comes through as a system prompt and the information in there is more like a subconscious memory than a direct memory resource. Like these are things it knows if you ask about it, but it doesn't know it's necessarily "content"

So the thing with the custom instructions delay is that the very next voice chat still has old instructions for some reason. I usually start a new voice chat, get it to speak for quick second, and then quickly go start another one so it uses the updated instructions. I'm assuming this is some glitch with the voice mode where the instructions don't update with the next instance for some reason.

@@ZappyOh how much of it is the fear of change? Or the world we live in be different? Eventually ai will be smarter than us, so we won’t be able to compete when it comes to creativity or anything. In the same ways monkeys can’t compete with us in creativity. Reason why is ai lives on a different time scale. Millions of years can go by for ai in what are hours for us. You might think that will never happen. It’s already been solved, in that we know how to achieve it. It’s just a matter of having the primitive version design the chips it runs on (already happening). Then the learning component teach itself how to learn better. Learn how to learn, then learn how to improve the way it learns. Then learn how to improve that. This isn’t theoretical we have proven this is possible, it’s just a matter of a couple years. Building better hardware ect. Impressive use-case. I've been able to achieve similar results using it's memory, rather than the custom instructions. I really can't wait to see all of the features on the table at once. o1's reasoning with advanced voice, custom instructions and memory, with a little dash of web-search to top it all off. I could hack something together with the API, I'm sure, but the token cost would be prohibitive. Honestly, thought, if the tokens didn't cost so damn much, we'd already have AGI... I had one doing CoT reasoning like o1 on the 3.5 model like a year ago, but it would have cost hundreds of dollars a day to run with minimal interactions. If tokens were free, it could have a Stream of Consciousness which would, hand's down, beat the snot out of CoT. Even multiple streams working together, like in a MoE. It's really only the cost of running the damn things which is stifling my own progress, and I'm sure others as well. I need to save up and get a good GPU so I can run local models...

    • @mrpocock

This, is not GPT-4O. It's current audio version using GPT4. GPT-4O audio mode not yet at general availability stage.

No. It is GPT-4o using the old voice mode. The new voice mode will roll out in a few weeks.

Yeah, that’s correct. It is 4o - mode, but the voice mode will improve. I’ll test it out when it does.

The responses seemed slow compared to the presentation, maybe the servers are overwhelmed this days Edit: Are you sure that's GPT4o? It doesn't sound like 4o to me Edit2: Yea that's the old voice version not 4o, 4o hasn't rolled with the voice function yet
