Anyone find it strange that the plane would go all the way up to Alaska then down to Beijing. Instead of going straight across to from San fran to Beijing.

It was a bad flight, I took this three years ago, the old 747 doesn't have any individual entertainment system, everything feels outdated. Most airlines are using 777 instead of 747 to carry passenger overseas, most 747 are not modified to cargo.
