apg4 is a 3/4oz end load not a 1/2oz
Yes, we sort of realized that after the fact. Thanks for the heads up.
Guys, i think you are using the pitching screen wrong. Lol
We know. Just experimenting 😉
What is the model #? That will tell you if you have the original. I just got a nearly new condition Freak MSF for $100 which is ASA stamped, but illegal in those leagues. These are super durable composite bats and typically take up to 2000 hits to break in. Gonna be fun 🤩
Just says MSFLE on ours. We think it's one of the first, but we could be wrong. $100 for an almost new Freak from that era is a really great deal. Definitely a banned list bat. And yes, those bats were absolute tanks, could take hit after hit and get better and better. Enjoy, you are gonna have a blast with that gem.
@ the MSFLE is the Limited Edition that came out a little later, because of the high demand, but is legal in ASA/USA league play. So far, we have bought 3 MSFN’s and the MSF I bought is like new, which is unbelievable. So happy I got it. 😁
3 Miken Freaks!?!? I'd be playing a very deep 3rd base lol 😨
@@ClincherCrew1 we broke them out yesterday in the cold and those baby’s are so hot especially in the center of the barrel, with 14 shots over the 290’ fence and we aren’t Home Run hitters. 👍🥎.
My, man! 💪
That End-Load is doing work!!! Great video!!!
Thanks for the support, we appreciate you. Very unique bat, that's for sure. We might have to give it another go one day.
Many of us here in Brooklyn are convinced that this is the GOAT clincher destroyer. I am a detractor.
"I'm a detractor" Haha. We're kinda with you on this bat. And we're big fans of the double barrel Eastons. But, this one fell short compared to later models that came out.
@@ClincherCrew1 @Nunnayadambiness what else do ppl swing there/agree is good? I'm trying to figure out if ASA, USSSA, dbl barrells specifically, one piece two piece etc are best for clinchers in modified. I feel like asa composites are pretty popular, I've swung some senior bats taht are good including the worth wicked one piece sr bat which is by far the hottest I've tried
the worth I've swung both prepared (shaved I believe) and not and the one that is prepared is disgusting, the other is more inline w other asas I've swung
@Ljqrs2005 Interesting. So much trial and error goes into hitting Clincher balls. Often times, bats that nobody mention, end up being great with Clincher balls.
@Ljqrs2005 The Easton Double Barrel bats are very good in our experience and a safe bet for clinchers in modified league play. Others can be a crap shoot. Suncoast Senior Bats are generally good. Our current favorite is the Onyx Kings ( 1-piece, USSSA Bat) which is kind of a sleeper bat.
One of the worse bat design from Easton ASA. Supposedly the fast pitch Ghost version is pretty good.
Yeah, this was a bit of a letdown. We've seen the Fastpitch counterpart from 2018, might have to see if we can scoop one of those up.
Is this a repaint of the 2023 or 2024 1 Piece Tantrum?
It is our understanding that the White Negotiator is a repaint of the 2024 Easton Tantrum. The specs on both bats are the same. The White Negotiator is a Smash It Sports exclusive.
Onyx senior bats are pretty good. Way better than the last one you guys reviewed.
We're 2 for 2 as far as Onyx bats go. Kings was 🔥 Enough Said was 🔥 We're gonna deep dive into more Senior bats and more Onyx bats. They are slowly winning us over
Is this the bat on the USA Softball Non-Approved Bat List with Certification?
Good question. I think, but don't quote me, the one on the banned USA list is a previous Backlash model. The one we swung is for both 52cor. and 44cor. balls. But, given Suncoasts reputation, I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being unapproved at some point as well, if it isn't already.
Where's the arch
Most clincher ball leagues in New York (where we're based) don't pitch with an arc style. The pitching in those leagues is called modified, and more like Fastpitch.
probably better explain the clincher thing to seniors?? And is this modified fast pitch? Doesn't look like any association I know as far as pitch height and speed??
Clincher Balls; very soft, very low compression balls. In short, they suck, but have become increasingly popular in leagues in the New York and Tri-State area. They come in 16in (Chicago Style) and 12in (what we use). The pitching, yes, is considered modified (not Slowpitch, not arc pitching) in our leagues. It is more along the lines of Fastpitch though. Rules state, the pitcher must not use a windmill or slingshot-type pitch or make a complete revolution on delivery. Some pitchers are very difficult to hit off of and it does make for great competition.
Did you really post a review of this without having it pitch any balls at all?
Bro, c'mon. 😔 ua-cam.com/video/svh3LQzPnK8/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/K50sU4cxLkE/v-deo.html
Are you guys actually hitting 16" clinchers like in the right corner or standard F12? 12Inch?
Oh, shoot! That's a mistake on our part. We are hitting the 12 inch clinchers. We're gonna have to fix that for our following videos. Damn 4k, shows everything.
So the prevailing thought in the pickup groups down here in Brooklyn is that for regular clinchers, senior bats don't mean much. However, for corker clinchers, the senior bat might make a difference. No word on golds, however.
So funny you say that. Completely by accident, we scooped up a Corker Clincher the other day, thinking it was one of ours. And after hitting it, we were like, wtf, this does not hit and sound like a typical Debeer Clincher. And yes, like you said, these respond very differently. Be interesting to test the Corkers and the Golds as well.
You guys have one of the lower end senior bats. Like someone said senior bats doesn’t hit mush balls well.
We have another video coming out soon with a Senoir Bat that performed very well with the clinchers. It's looking like it's gonna be a mixed bag of good and not so good bats.
sounds like my wife telling me stop ordering new bats two weeks later ordered the new monsta torch mx lol
Hahaha. We've all been in that situation, again, and again, and again.
This miken bat was first bat I bought, then I upgraded to the easton tantrum 2 piece loaded, then few weeks ago I just bought a 2016 miken freak 30 and ready to be hitting nukes.
Got a nice collection going. I like your upgrade process. Do you hit clinchers? We're curious how a Freak would perform with them.
I'm thinking to buy the 22 ultimate weapon, but I have two options, 34"26oz or 34"28oz, I hope you can help me to decide, IDK if lighter is better... Or if you have another recomendation for me I'll be gratefully, in my league only We can use a one piece aluminum bat, no composite or mixed... what Do you think guys? (I have the red rebel that you destroyed with the Demarini...)
Sounds like you have a pretty strict league. We'd recommend the Ultimate Weapon all day for a 1 piece, alloy bat. If you're hitting clinchers, you'd definitely want to go for a heavier bat. If you're hitting something else, the extra bat speed with a lighter bat could be helpful. If you're interested, we'd sell you our Ultimate Weapon, it's a 28oz.
U swing the j lew you got yet
What bat???
@@ClincherCrew1 the onyx purple and gold Jermaine Lewis bat that bat flip bp sent you
Oh, no, not yet. It's on the dock. Along with many others. If it hits anything like the Onyx Kings we recently swung, then damn!
@@ClincherCrew1 lol there pretty hot it seems I'm just curious cause I'm in a clincher league and I've been gaming a Suncoast melee 3 this year and it's pretty ridiculous but I have been looking into maybe getting an onyx
@@randyjones7320 We played against a team that used that same Suncoast. Bombs all day. They got kicked out of the league for using a Senior Slow Pitch Bat. Our league was ASA/USA only. Some leagues don't care though.
Your one comment about it would be cool if it marked the bat where you hit the ball just get some dr scholls foot power spray and spray it up and it will make a white film and you can see exactly where ur catching the ball and how it came off from that spot
Hmmm. That's a great idea. Awesome tip. Just might have to implement that into our bat breakdowns. Could add another layer of detail. Thanks so much.
Heck yeah guys keep up the good work
Thanks for the support, dude. Much appreciated 👏
This video doesn't make sense to me.. from the flat pitches in the BP to the evaluation at the end. My league uses the 52-300 tattoo balls & my teammate has the same bat me personally & other players have hit nukes with that DC-41 25th anniversary bat. So I'd strongly disagree with the evaluation of this bat.
You do know that all our evaluations are based upon how the Bats perform with the Clincher balls, not the 52/300 balls, hence the name, "Clincher Crew" and our about description, "Your home for honest bat reviews devoted to hitting DeBeer Clinchers." We only hit 52/300 balls so the viewer can see the dichotomy between those balls and the clincher balls. Leagues that use clincher balls don't typically pitch in a high arching manner like most Slowpitch leagues. The pitching is more indicative of what you'd see in a Fastpitch League.
Why are you not pitching behind the screen
Sounds like your hitting water logged softballs lol
That's clincher balls for ya!
Those balls are dead.
Por que no los dos?
Hopefully one day the righty swing will be as controlled as the left. Still needs some work.
Love it! I legit forgot what I put in there 😂 that Onyx is the hottest senior bat I think I have ever hit, super soft barrel and NUKES the ball!
Haha. I remember you reviewing it a few months ago. Insane pop. Stoked to test that bad boy out!
i need to try that purple Onyx. I have an orange/blue that I think imploded. Sounds like hitting a pillow. it test about 500 on the tester!!!! Five hundred.
@@ericsun7918 500??? That's insane!!
These bats are all over Brooklyn. This might as well be the unofficial bat of Brooklyn.
No kidding? Hmmm. Hitting clinchers?
@ClincherCrew1 it's practically the only softball we use out here in our slowpitch and modified leagues. Edit: once smashitsports had these on sale for less than 100, so many people got in on it.
Is it the USA/ASA model? Or the USSSA model?
@@ClincherCrew1 USA/ASA
Yeah. That's that double barrel tech. Very good with clinchers.
Did you guys prefer the steel or ultimate weapon? Is the steel worth the extra $90?
I think Jeff and I (Chris) might be split on this one. Personally, I liked the Ultimate Weapon more. I prefer the stiffer design of a 1 piece bat. I feel it's a little more catered to my swing. I think Jeff hit a bit better with the Steel than the Ultimate Weapon. He prefers more of the 2 piece design. Really, it's gonna come down to what you prefer more. I will say that there will be an adjustment phase with either of these bats. It will require some practice BP to figure them out and hone in on, especially if you're used to swinging composite bats.
Im playing in a coed league and i cant use any of my usual composit bats. Would you say the Ultimate Weapon is a good choice for non composit? Any others youd recommended looking into?
The Ultimate Weapon is a great choice for non-composite leagues. The DeMarini Steel is a solid choice, as is the Miken Maniac. A buddy of mine and his teammates use the Maniac and love it.
So that's how seing a dragon in real life would look like! That child got so scared lol
As someone who had been there, if you aren’t prepared and under it, the sudden heat scares you more than the dragon.
Awwww it’s cute
6:33 that move is so smooth!
"Smooth Operator."
You guys are swinging some horrible balls. Swap to evil bp or something for better vids fellas.
So we dedicate our bat reviews to the debeer clinchers, hence the name clincher crew. After some internal team talking we decided to review the bat on the greens and then the clinchers separately that way we cater to a bigger audience. Thanks for the input.
I swing an Easton Ronin 240 - have you review it?
Solid bat. We swung that last season. Matched it up against the Easton Synergy. You can check it out here, ua-cam.com/video/uhx1Xl5oUp8/v-deo.html
hit one put of the field with the miken syko that bat is no joke for a dual stamp one of the better ones for sure the idk if ill ever go back to alloy
Nice, dude! Good for you. Guess the Syko performs. Sometimes there are sleeper dual stamps that shine.
so who tags @NintendoAmerica and lets them know about the collab? HAHA!
Haha. We tag them, and hopefully they see it when we release the BP session with it.
Mines worse
Haha
I love it! The Steel is an absolute classic and yet I still haven’t tried one. 🤦♂️ Now I’m gonna have to pick one up!
Thanks, brotha. The steel is definitely worth a go. Jeff had a field day with it. If you wanna give ours a try, we'd be happy to ship it out.

Thanks for the love and the support, my friend. Lol, definitely not a kids field, it's 300ft to center, the gaps are maybe a little more, then it tapers and gets shorter at the corners.
Ordered mine a couple days ago, so excited!
Enjoy it, brotha! It hits, and it looks badass
are you batting fp12 or reg softballs?
All the balls we hit in this video are DeBeer F12 Clincher
@@ClincherCrew1 ty atm playing in a coed league in central park for my job and I am using a easton rebel and a old easton s300 speed brigade which is much older and hot from the years of use but the rebel is horrible and really hoping to find something that is great for clinchers
We tested the Easton Rebel, terrible bat. Some of those older Eastons aren't bad. Best bet is to find an Easton with the double barrel tech, pretty much all those bats are great with clinchers, just gotta find one that fits your swing and your preference
@@ClincherCrew1 and that isi usa asa since my league only permits those was thinking of getting the new torch 1 piece
or the new miken syko
What balls yall using?
These are DeBeer F12 Clinchers. Very soft, low-compression balls, but almost primarily used out here on the East Coast.
You're pitching with shit/dead balls / your swing looks like trash, so what do you expect
now this is the level of energy I can get behind!
Thanks for the support, brother! Means a lot. Much appreciated. Following in your foot steps 👍
@@ClincherCrew1 keep doing what your doing! I love the different perspective hitting clinchers. Maybe I gotta bring the big ball out to our next video 😄
Would love to see it!
I’ve been swinging the dc41 since the 2019 version. Have had completely different experiences than you guys. Bat was pretty hot out of wrapper. The balls fly off the bat for me, nice response, doesn’t ring up the hands on miss hits, sweet spot is insanely big, no problem placing the ball or going yard with it. To each their own tho, everyone on my team likes short barrels while I’ll always choose a long barrel over a short. Biggest issue I’ve ran into with this bat is end cap issues but all of the models since 2019 have stayed consistent other than changes to the bat knob this year. Nice review, hope you guys do more through the summer
Thanks for the support and the comment. We'll be plenty busy this summer. The DC-41 was a bit of a let down for us. I've read that the 2018, 2019, and 2020 version were hot out of the wrapper like you said. Unless they changed the tech last year or it just needs more breaking in, dunno. Maybe, we'll keep working it in.
I had an old asa one from a few years ago. Took me a lot of swings with green balls to open it up. It was good not great. Curious to see what a krecher or kp23 can do with a clincher.
Yeah, the DC-41 didn't wow us. Might need a lot of breaking in like you said. We had a 2021 ASA Ryan Harvey Krecher. Kinda performed the same as the DC-41 with clinchers. It was decent, but there are better bats with clinchers. The KP23 could be a potential pick up for us soon.
Which was better the rebel or maniac?
The Miken Maniac for sure is a better bat.
This page is 6 months in and they still haven't tried the DeMarini steel 😮😢
About time someone does clincher vids 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Yeahhhhhhh!
