Love these hightlights from Saturday's linup. Preservation Brass, Catherine Russell, Yusa and more!
You have to check out on youtube Catherine Russell singing the back o' town blues, that her dad wrote.
An amazing imitiation of Louis Armstrong by Charmaine Neville and Wendell Brunious's tribute were indeed highlights of Sunday's music!
another chet baker fan , KEEP IT UP
Will do!

Thanks. More to come!
Cool
Nice!
Such a great show!! Tyler is incredible ❤❤❤
I love Tyler’s singing and his songwriting.❤❤❤ he is my favorite singer!
Not much of a tribute.
Oh hell yeah - two of the bands I have seen the most - Tower of Power and the Coral Reefer Band!
That is a memorable version of House of the Rising Sun indeed
I don’t.
Except I did! See my Day 5 of Jazz Fest.
No. I wanted to! Too much going on at once. Bet it was a great show.
Thank you for this Stephen Marley footage. What a beautiful voice. I was fortunate to get permission to film the Marley Neville Bayou By Bus concert with 3 cameras, onstage mics and SBD. Hopefully I can release most of it. I was told that the hoped plan was for Stephen, Cyril & Ivan Neville to sing the second verse of Redemption song together but they didn't get a chance to rehearse so the song was performed mainly by Stephen and I think they skipped the second verse.
That was a great show! Let me know if you release it. Too bad about the trio not singing together - would have been epic.
Thank you for sharing this and all your videos of the festival! I only got to go on the day after this but it was my first time and I loved it. Very fun seeing what the Stones were like!
Hast du gema bezahlt.anzeige geht raus
Do you have any more of anders Osborne on the way to Charlie parker?
🎉✌🌎💚
Who is that at 9:00 ?
Papa Mali! Russ Broussard on drums and Casandra Faulconer on bass. If you’re in New Orleans, PM plays at Chickie Wah Wah and Maple Leaf.

RIDE ON ....WORLD WIDE WASH. Saw sev x @ Tip s in 88 when stayin in the area. Not the best teeth, but the chops ...Got his Hep Me lp w pack of wolves on the cover, 2 of his 1st Roundrr 1s as well. Ride on w the other guittaaahh riders in the funk blues sky ..."Life Is A One-Way Tiicckett ..ain t no 2nd x aroun .. " by Couzin Joe
THANK U . VERY NICE SERVICE. Sad to say, but the level of the intensity of the performances throughout has decreased significantly since the strong days of the late 80s. Was there in 88, and was lucky to catch Al Green in his prime w over a 2 hr show. Thats what was NOT there any longer. Not great, not terrible = constant impression as judged by this ch supply.
Any thought to putting the names of the bands and when they play in the video?
I'll try to help, I was there that Thursday. First band - McMain G.A.W.I.S.M - Gospel Tent - 12:05 to 12:45 pm. although it could've been the Voices of Pride, Edna Karr High School Gospel Choir at 11:15 to 11:55. Second band - Mahmoud Chouki - at the Lagniappe Stage 12:45 - 1:30 pm. Third Band - Shantytown Underground also at the Lagniappe Stage from 1:50 to 2:45 pm 4th Band - Aurora Nealand's Royal Roses at the Economy Hall Tent - from 1:40 to 2:35 pm. 5th band - David Bastiste and the Gladiators at Congo Square Stage from 1:30 to 2:25 pm 6th band - Rockin' Dopsie Jr. and the Zydeco Twisters at the Festival,[formally Acura] Stage from 1:50 to 2:55 pm 7th band - Astral Project in the WWOZ Jazz Tent - 2:40 to 3:40 pm. [saw the backs of some friends there]. 8th band - The "Jumpin" Johnny Sansone Band in the Blues Tent from 2:50 -3:45 pm 9th band - Jenn Howard at the AARP Rhythm Emporium 2:50 - 3:35 pm 10th band - Tommy Sancton's New Orleans Legacy Band - at the Economy Hall Tent from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. 11th band - Bonerama at the Shell Gentilly Stage 3:45 to 4:50 pm. [they also did a killer set at Rock and Bowl Saturday night], 12th band - Papa Mali Trio - at the AARP Rhythm Emporium - from 4:15 to 5:00 pm 13th band - Banu Gibson - Economy Hall Tent - 4:20 to 5:20 pm. 14th band - Loose Cattle - Lagniappe Stage - 4:20 - 5:10 pm. 15th band - The Quickening - Lagniappe Stage - 5:30 to 6:30 pm. 16th band - Leon Bridges - Shell Gentilly Stage - 5:30 to 7:00 pm 17th band - Morgan Heritage - Congo Square Stage - 5:40 to 7:00 pm. I gotta say, what you did, to film 17 bands on Locals Thursday is quite an accomplishment. You covered some serious ground it's tough to see five or six bands much less 17, you did what we call the Jazzfest Circuit, but we usually just do it over the last two hours. You did it for 8 hours. What did you eat to sustain yourself? It was hot that day. I was there with my 2.5 year old grandson and son and his wife. We spent most of our listening time that day to 6 Hearts and Atabal at the Fais Do Do and Cultural Heritage Tent. Nice goin'!!!
@@1blastman Nice...Thanks!
Thx. But like I said yesterday : the general level has decreased significantly if this is the best u choose to gather/rebroadcast. This has more to do w clownery than real music - excluding the 2short segment of Irma s - my late ma s 1st name ...🇫🇮
Lots of mediocre talent, some even 3rd rate, didn t miss much. Reggae is a nuisance, should be outlawed on basis of boringness. The true local superstars are gone and buried, the hour is Late ...once rode thru Germany on a train w Earl King, what character & a non-stop storyteller besides 1st cl Nawlins living musical history book. Those days are bygone, W.W. the latest casualty of life. Thx 4 this rapid service to the "channeller", names should be included. Al Green in 88 was probably the most hardgtooving show evvuuhh, I was there, over 2 hr gig in 100 & 100 weather
Hey this guy caught 17 out of the 88 acts on 15 stages on Locals Thursday. That's pretty darn good. Yeah, on this day, he didn't catch Santana, Buddy Guy, Jo-El Sonnier or some of the other names that were there. Sure I miss the greats from years ago - Fats, Allen Toussaint, Uncle Lionel, Ernie K-Doe, Huey "Piano" Smith, Champion Jack Dupree, James Booker, and so many more. But there is great young talent coming up, the future of New Orleans and American music is very bright. Just ask Trombone Shorty, Irma Thomas, Kermit Ruffins and Jon Batiste.
@@1blastman U 4got FESS, LLOYD PRICE, nevuhh saw either. Glad you re glad about the future. I didn t see it in these upstart stars. See what the press said about Bob Cray, JLW 35 yrs ago : THE SAVIORS OF THE BLUES. !!! Their ass, both became mainstream Rounders, indy mid-talent, major lbls dumped them fast. The reason : the postmodern era. End of ORIGINALITY .. .. .. ask Lightning Hopkins' ghost. . . Or Gatemouth s whom I i-viewed in 86. He was no bitter ol man, but a visionary blaming the youth from just stealing lixxx from each other, missing and lacking orig creativity .. i🇫🇮
@@sulevisydanmaa9981 I agree with a lot of what you say, but I still believe the music is alive and well. Was up in Clarksdale, Ms over the weekend of June 16 to 18. The Birth of American Music Festival [B.A.M.] was going on and there were some great young blues musicians there. I say "young" because at 75, I was one of the older people there.
