What book did you use for head neck anatomy?

Not every one is for you. This is what my grandmother alway told me. I am for everyone that is doing good! I am competing with the woman I was yesterday, because everyday I aim to be better. Also, I will need a medication, but not sure which one to start. I was given 4 different options. What did you start on? (if you don't mind me asking). I am afraid because I wont tear up, I will get mad. LOL!!

Hi Liz! Ive been watching you progress for a while now! I applied for school and I start my prerequs in January! Do you think you can make a video about how long it took you to finish your general college prerequs before you started the DH program?

I'm so behind on videos lolol I'm on my break between first and second term and catching up on videos while my baby contact naps lol Omg almost 20 clicks in those 2 heavy quads, you finished the WHOLE mouth and only missed ONE PIECE!! You're my hero 🤩

I’m taking my prerequisites right now, hopefully I’ll get into the program this summer.

Hey! girl! I haven't been to your vlog in a long time because my first semester is going crazy. I just can't believe it is already November. We just finished child dental charting assessment in the clinic(My two girls came as our patients). RAD and medical emergency are pretty easy but histology and Head and neck are definitely challenging. It broke my heart when I watched you couldn't control your breath well.... I feel you Liz:( I think you are amazing and you always motivate others !!As I am experiencing the first semester right now, it is not a joke and I can't say enough that how amazing you are going through this journey as a mother. Liz, I will cheer you on here in VA as always!! :) (Are you taking any medication? I take Lexapro and it literally changed my emotion, fast heartbeat, and anxiety. I recommend you if you ever need)

I'm not even in dental hygiene school or in the US. I'm in optometry school in Australia. But I recently found your channel and it inspires me to be a better student, so thank you for that! I'm about 1 out from all my exams being done for the year, and I'm looking forward for summer break right now, which probably sounds weird to you since you're going into winter, haha. But anyway, you're inspiring and real, lots of love from Australia!!

Oh wow, I just realized I've been binge watching all of your videos (while studying for my Head and Neck exam) since Friday and I'm finally caught up.😂😭😂 I'm currently halfway past my first fall semester of dental hygiene school and I'm feeling every emotion that you felt during your first semester....minus all the tears, because I'm a guy so I gotta keep it G.😂😭😂🤢🤮 One suggestion for your channel. Create a Playlist to add all of your videos for people who want to binge watch your journey. If you decide to do this, make sure in the playlist's settings you set it up so it plays the videos from oldest to newest so we can see them in order. You can just go into your creator studio, select all your vidoes at once, and click add to a playlist. Also, if you want to go ahead and double your views and also hit the 1,000 subscriber mark so you can get monetized. Please start titling your videos when more searchable words. Right now you just say dental hygiene school with the semester and week, so put a little bit more description in your titles but with the video is about. Lastly, you're doing great. Just think, this time next year you going to be a whole registered dental hygienist working in an office.

In school now (previous experience as an assistant) and I agree so much with how frustrating it is to feel so passionately about this career while others hate it. I personally love routine and how much hygiene will be compared to assisting.

I'm halfway through my 1st semester of my hygiene program and I really hate life right now, but I'm too tired and busy studying for my next exams (we take 6 classes our first semester) to let it sink in. 😂😭😂🤢🤮

I don't get my loupes until 2nd semester I'm so jelous!! I want to use them with the 1/2 and 3/4 universals so bad😢😅 seriously thank you for your videos, they help in so many ways and hearing you reflect it feels like I can relate and learn from our mistakes together! Aw man, I'm so sorry to hear about the student that left the program 😢 I hope they are doing okay and that they are feeling the love from you and all the other students and teachers that miss them so much ❤ There are so many people that think that dentistry and dental hygiene is "just teeth". WE are the ones that need to be passionate and informed about the WHY and we need to share it! If a hygienist equates what they do to dishwashing, then it's for the best that they left the field tbh. It's so much more than that, and if we as hygienists don't understand the importance of our role, how are we supposed to convince others to take care of their mouth? Anyways lolol the fact that you can see 4 patients in one clinic day is so crazy!! We're starting with real patients in clinic next term and our teacher was telling us that we'll likely need to schedule two appointments to finish one patient lolol

I totally understand what you’re talking about when you said how there’s people out there bashing dental hygiene! I was at my schools loupe fair and one of the reps was a hygienist and was immediately bashing the career and saying she felt bad for us. Like hello? Needless to say I didn’t buy from her. We are working so HARD for this career and to see and hear this from people in the career already and or previously is infuriating and also discouraging. This is what I wanna do. Keep going Liz! You’re doing amazing.

When I get exhausted like that everything feels as if it is happening in slow motion, it’s the weirdest feeling! I have a midterm I need to go hard on the studying for, I am taking statistics right now and I feel like every single week is packed to the brim with information, this is the first class in a good while to make me feel overwhelmed! Good on you for not only leaving, but for not letting that past experience keep you from enjoying your life to the fullest! Thank you for sharing your research for the paper. That's something I wouldn't even think to consider as an issue for patients, but now I know, and I can have more compassion and empathy for patients who might be in that situation ❤ You're not going to fail community! You'll find a way, you'll graduate on time, you'll get through it ❤❤❤❤

We also had a paper for the community. Wow, 15 pages! I hated writing papers. You are so strong! Be proud of the person you are for having the strength for leaving. I have my notes for community if you would like to see them idk if they'll help. How do you get motivated to workout when you have so much going on? I need the motivation!

Hello Lizzie, I come back to you again :) Yesterday I went to complete the ATDH for the CCD Hygiene program. I feel confident on the English, Perceptual Ability, Biology and Chemistry parts but GOSH...Math I was unprepared and did not expect that hard! It was tough and I ran out of time for all words problems (which are not my favorite...). How did you feel after completed your ATDH? Also, did you apply only once and got accepted the first time at your school? Did you also apply to different schools than the one you are at now? THANK YOU for your time and consideration of my message in advance <3 You are how so appreciated!!

I'm so happy you were able to find a patient to avoid that empty chair, and it was so last minute, too! And it's seriously so impressive that you were able to finish all that during your clinic time! I know you'll figure out a way to conquer that community class 😊
