How to Prepare Gulgulla @PatnaKitchens
Recipe for making Gulgulla:
### Ingredients
- **Aata (Wheat Flour):** 1/2 kg
- **Sugar:** 100 gm (grind)
- **Baking Soda:** 1 tsp
- **Coconut:** 1 small piece, finely chopped
- **Saunf (Fennel Seeds):** 1 tsp
- **Salt:** 1/2 tsp
- **Water:** As needed
- **Refined Oil:** For frying
### Instructions
1. **Prepare the Batter:**
- In a large bowl, combine the aata, grind sugar, salt, chopped coconut, baking soda, and saunf. Mix well.
- Gradually add water to the dry ingredients to form a thick batter. Ensure there are no lumps.
- Cover the batter and let it rest for 30 minutes.
2. **Fry the Gulgulla:**
- Heat refined oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, use a spoon to scoop small portions of the batter and gently drop them into the oil.
- Fry the gulgullas until they are golden brown, turning them occasionally for even cooking.
3. **Drain and Serve:**
- Remove the gulgullas from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve warm as a snack or dessert.
### Enjoy!
Gulgulla is delicious on its own or can be enjoyed with a drizzle of honey or a sprinkle of powdered sugar!
