4 Simple Ways to Use a Furoshiki
Hello everyone! I have designed my own Furoshiki (a Japanese wrapping cloth) and it will be put up on my Etsy shop soon. In the meantime, let me show you some simple ways of using a Furoshiki. There are definitely many other ways of wrapping a Furoshiki, that’s why I love it so much!

Wrong knot used
The direction of the knots is wrong. They should go parallel to the ties and should not form a cross.
Furoshiki uses a reef knot, not a square knot.
Yes. First knot, cross left over right, 2nd, do right over left and it will make proper direction. (Or vice versa: right over left, then left over right; just always do opposite.) Will also allow easy escape of the knot when you're done with the furoshiki. From what I understand, the knot you are showing is used for funeral gifts. We in Western culture don't attach that kind of meaning to such things, but it actually makes a difference.
Wondering what size your fabric is?
Last one was so cute!
