i think it does less damage because it’s multiple hits unlike when its a greatsword it’s a single thrust and thrust damage does way more damage

Use it on stance breaks. It does more damage than I ever do with a riposte. I fought golden hippo and did nearly a quarter of his hp

talismans are probably the magic scorpion, shard of alexander, godfrey icon and the axe talisman. physik is probably the ones that increase charger attacks and magic attacks. and having a weapon with high base damage probably helps as welll

To put it simply in all souls borne game it’s more of a flex wearing less armor as the mindset and point of it is “why wear armor if I’m not gonna get hit” and there are light armor fashions you may just prefer the heavy armor look which some don’t it’s an open world rpg where you can play however you want also the dlc doesn’t scale via level so it wouldn’t matter either way

you can actually light roll in this game and have more invincibility frames if your character is light enough

I get your point but part of the fun of a melee or strength build is the mastery of the boss fight. You are forced to get personal with the boss and learn the ins and outs of its moveset. I don't do magic because I love feeling like I've completely conquered how a boss fights and I can dominate it.
