Since ur hair wasn’t bleached to a light pale yellow u won’t be able to get ash grey. Instead it just neutralises the brown to make it less warm.

I have longer hair (past my shoulders) and I'm worried that one box won't cover enough hair, what do you think?

Of course it will not be as light as your highlighted hair because its not bleach especially for your black virgin hair on your roots. Color does not lift color. And another thing, do not reuse application because after sometime once you have already mixed it and let it sit for many hours, it would lose efficacy..omg i hope you did your research first before you made a content review. And set real expectations. I suggest you watch Brad Mondo. Your recommendation is right because you did it wrong by misleading expectation and giving a wrong review for the product you use wrongly.
