You are such a great mom!! Yes!! Advocate for your baby!! My nephew has autism and he gets speech & OT as well. His speech therapist is a gem. She even includes my other nephew, so he doesn't feel left of. I had to get rid of my therapist due to a language barrier. My very 1st session I must have said, " I'm sorry, can you repeat that" at least 15 times. It got to the point that I just nodded and smiled the rest of my session. Immediately after I was done, I went to the front desk & asked for a new therapist. I don't have anything against anyone who English isn't their 1st language, but if I can't understand you, I actually get uncomfortable. I'm uncomfortable asking people to repeat themselves.

Hey girl, I'm an Austic auntie!! I completely get what you are saying about the language barrier. My nephew gets speech therapy and OT. His ST was African. She was wonderful, sweet, patient, and kind. However, her accent was so heavy, or she would use the wrong words when communicating with my nephew. My sister didn't want to say anything (she's a softy), lol. But not me!! I kindly called the agency and let them know what was going on. The ST was replaced, and my sister felt bad, but I told her you have to advocate for your children. If we couldn't understand her, how was my nephew going to understand her.

I agree with absolutely EVERYTHING you said towards the end of the vlog about instagram and creeps that silent watch your shit. YES YES YES! That’s why i took a break from instagram a few months ago. It was throwing me off my game and it was a big distraction. It affected my mental health… like it is real. I always wish life was how it was in the early 2000s where we wasn’t worried about what everyone is doing. Living in YOUR now and touching some grasss! I’m back on IG but I dont look at stories or news feeds… i post and dip. When I’m at a place in my life where I’m completely content with my life i wouldn’t give a fuck. However, I’m much more better on social media. I know what works for me and keep me at peace. Protect your energy girl!

I thank god that i decided to go to a shelter, I got off the bus from another state and went straight to the shelter in New York. God was with me and now I have my own place. I kept saying that this journey was personal, Keep going beautiful.
