What's crazy is that when I first saw the design I thought it was such a fail because I was trying to achieve a particular design technique...I guess considering different perspectives can make perceive failures look like artistic successes! Hey Patricia. Thanks for watching! You are going to have to do trial and error to get the color and batter consistency. Are you infusing your oil in the pureed carrots or are you adding the carrots directly to the soap batter? If you are just using the oil infused in carrots, you don't need to change your lye/water recipe. Because you are just using the oil and the calculation is already made for that. I infused the carrots in a big batch of oil (avocado, sunflower, grapeseed or olive oil). Then whatever the recipe asks for I would use that oil. For example, if my soap recipe asks for 6 oz of sunflower oil, I would used the 6 oz of infused carrot sunflower oil in the recipe. Or, I would use 3 ounces of sunflower oil infused in carrots and 3 oz of regular sunflower oil to get the 6 oz needed. Then I would monitor the color consistency to see how much or how little to add next time. The lye calculation doesn't change because it is based on the recipe already established with your oils and butters. Do you have your own recipe? Do you use soapcalc.net? Hope I answered your question.

Good question! OOHHHH the pressure...lol! I would probably have more success creating an eye embed to place in the soap than to pour wet soap and create an eye but I am up to the challenge!
