Incredible interpretation.
Wow so clean!! Amaizing. Thanks for sharing
Music seems come out directly from the artist's soul. Techniques are so good that almost can not see it.
👏👏👏My takeaway from this.. Top teachers give most valuable instructions on emotions and expressions, techniques are secondary.
A particularly outstanding performance of this masterpiece. Wonderfully fluid and expressive tremolo, sensitive use of dynamics and expansive overall conception. I believe this piece was composed in 1944 in El Salvador, shortly before Barrios died of a chronic heart condition. This piece was not titled by him but, according to a popular story, a poor woman knocked on his door and asked for "alms for the love of God." It is interesting how the treble theme in tremolo gradually ascends higher and higher, symbolizing the composer's spirit on its final journey.
What a great great teacher. Man I miss this kind of knowledge. So many dilettantes in classical guitar education.
Ce n’est pas de Bach c’est de Buzoni!!!!

Nice ! Really loved your advices. I am also working it. I have one question: for the ostinato section at 2:20 do you always alternate I-M, I-M, I-M ... on the B string while playing the harmonics or do you sometimes repeat one finger (for the harmonic combo at 2:35 for exemple, it seems to be easier when i repeat M finger on B string while playing the harmonics simultaneously with the thumb).
Maravilha! Obrigado pela partilha.
Excellent teacher……and student!
I'm turning back to this interpretation since I really can't find one as expressive as this one. Better than K. Yamashita.
Most excellent!
Where can I see the complete version
Denis es excelente... Que nivel.. Aplausos para el
❤❤
Another trashy bitchy teacher. Eww
What a wonderful lesson! I can't speak much spanish but the body language tells so much! Your lessons on La Catedral really help my preparations for my Master-Music-Studies exam =) Such delight! Thank you :)
This will always be one of my favorite performances of all time ❤️
Loved it, my only criticism for his playing here was the lack of timbre. He’s clearly made a conscience decision to play at this tempo with purpose. So in slowing it down he should capitalize on the freedom to exaggerate some of the different tones
Impresionante y Hermosa interpretación 👍✔
Thank you for sharing this. I am learning the Bagatelle and so many wonderful learning points to take from this masterclass!
Gracias por la clase Maestro, aproveché bastante. Gracias!
i love this performance so much
Well done! I played this piece as a child without an introduction and without nails; with a nail it sounds brighter, but less tonal.
Good interpretation, integrity of form, respect! I played this as a child, although without the flagellants.
Hello, I live in Chicago, where I teach at University of Illinois, but I also teach online (via Zoom, Skype, etc...) students from all around the world and of all levels. If interested, please contact me at denisazabagic@gmail.com
sensational which country he teach??/
Odlična izvedba, tehnički i interpretativno.
Both are great guitarists❤
The stain glass colors and fragility certainly describe this piece. Great lesson
His student became a great guitarist herself. Awesome, both instructor and student.
Hey Marco, beautiful arrangement. I saw you have the video course on the prelude, but couldn’t find the score for sale. Is that because you’re essentially following a well-established score? If so, may I ask which arrangement out there is your favorite? I’ve looked at a few and none are quite as compelling as yours.
Oh no😂I’m going to break my nails😂
Excelso!
Heck no, it's perfect 😊
listen to Yamashita, than...
sensaional
I like every note of your interpretation of this monster-piece. Perfetto tone and tempo. Flawless, but still inpired and colorful. Ciao
What a lesson!!! So many little tidbits of performance/interpretation.
Great teaching from a maestro, but I wonder sometimes if some students even really listen to the music they are learning, or enjoying it before taking it on? Does he even know this piece very well? He's a good player, but its not about him, its about the music.
Lucky enough to have seen the musician perform this live!
I wish you taught me the Guitar, in my location Iran there were no updated guitar teachers when I started guitar and a lot of my energy lost In this horrible country, it is so amazing you are fucus on guitar teaching and don't attention to your feelings that you like a student or not, these are so dreams for me and us if these are really usual in your country 🥲🥲🥲
Unbelievable.
I think he play’s very fast this piece but very good also
What a surprise and disappointment to hear the romanticization of this piece, and of some of the other movements of the same suite. This is a trend purportedly initiated by Casals and followed by almost all cellists of the XXth century with some notable exceptions, such as Rostropovitch. Sadly, many classical guitarists followed suit. There is a boundary between expression and exaggeration and that was largely crossed here.
an unbelievable interpretation, maestro! thank you so much for sharing!
