Well done video! As a civilian, it was cool to see the rules and regulations for the salute. I shared this with my teen, and we discussed the variations and applications of the salute. Thank you for making this video.
Drill Sergeant Moreland wanted to hear one sound during port. We always had one person with latency. We stood in formation for 5 hours until we mastered it we did get the banner though so it paid off
When I went through Basic at Sandhill April 2008-July 2008 (Dco 2/54) we hardly did any Drill and Ceremony. Time that would have usually been spent on D&C, we did more bullshit "Army Combatives" than anything else. I would have rather done D&C. It fucked me up when I got to my unit! Parade and Arms was definitely not 2nd nature for me out of Boot. Though we did Graduate wearing ACU's instead of Class A's. Infact, I only wore my Class A top part for a Basic Training Portrait. Was wearing PT shorts for my bottoms. I kinda now feel short changed in my Basic Training Experience. LOL Hell, I didn't even do any Bayonet training. That was replaced by MOUT.
Thank you for the demonstration ma’am, ones i apply for basic training next year after I graduate I will know how to properly salute to my commanding officers and those with higher ranking than me
I know it’s outta place here, forgive me, but please read with an open mind, you’ll be blessed The gospel, the good news is salvation from hell. And here’s how to get it, the Bible makes it as clear as can be. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved”, acts 16:31. Words from your mouth don’t even need to be accompanied, just “believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved” from hell, it’s this easy!! If you don’t believe it’s this easy, read Matthew 11:30 KJV and see for yourself
Not Bragging, but i have Disassembled an M16 Rifle into 19 Different Field Parts, and then Reassemble the M16 Rifle from the 19 different Rifle Parts Blindfolded in Less than a Minute. No Joke! It was part of the Marine Training i went through as a Marine Grenadier. Graduate of Infantry Training School Camp Pendleton, California. I was the guy with the M203 High Explosive Round Launcher Hooked up underneath my M16 Rifle! It Loaded like a Shotgun! Ask Any Real Marine in Infantry!
is there a certain amount of steps each person on the flank that is called should take (if i am on the right flank and column right is called and i am the third person in that squad is there a specific amount of steps i should take?)
No where on the Army regulations does it say that a soldier must hop to change step. It seems that this Drill Sergeants just have no idea on what they're doing.
i need that black queen in the video to yell these commands to me while i’m in a sexy military outfit, i’ve been a naughty soldier, i need my orders to be yelled at me, maybe tased too?!
By the book correct but technically incorrect. If you "step forward 30 inches" with the left foot, then the subsequent 30 inch step forward with the trail (right) foot will bring your feet together "as in the position of attention ". The 1st step should be 15 inches forward followed by a 30 inch step forward with the trail foot.

Did close order drills 40 years ago, still can do most of it. It stays with you for the rest of your life.
