no, not as a counter. To beat necro, you need burst damage. Many build can do that.

In this build: Only pick the cards that apply Poison: either directly per second, or due to HP lose or regen. And pick all the purple and gold poison cards.

My first choice is Health and get reborn. To make sure not die before casting the utli. In the meantime get all the cards that regen mana fasters: such as BLOOD OF MAGIC, ARCANE BLADE. Magic suppression level 1 is enough. The higher level benefit is much smaller. There are already 4 other player major in ULTI. It is hard to get ULTI cards. Also Health build is a counter to magic damage.
