Thanks. I'm making my 3rd chainmail shirt and I want it to be heavier. My other 2 are both 14 gauge, but I think I'm gonna try to find 12 gauge steel wire and see how that works
What kind of fishing line are you using?? I thought Wildfire & Fireline aren’t able to hold a crimp as it may cut through. Fireline is actual fishing line so I’m confused as a newb. Thanks!!
Hey there! What is the pound weight of the fishing line you are using and what crimp do you favor more with fishing line? I ask because I may want to get a larger crimps but it might also be unnecissary, thank you so much!!
Nice tutorial. I have never made any jewelry but I am interested in making this. What size beads and chain are you using? Are the beads 4mm or no? What size head pins? Is that tail or extender chain or?
Fishing line? Why would you string on something that will either get brittle and break over time or not be able to handle the weight of stones? Accu-Flex and the like is far superior. Never fishing line.
It's crimped flat? I always thought it stayed rounded but compressed haha, i noticed when wearing the necklace with the crimp bead flat, it doesn't feel comfortable, almost itchy. so i thought i did something wrong
@@pen64I’m sooo frustrated with this!!! 😂I left a comment but so did others that were also not answered. I was under the impression you can’t crimp this. Or mb just what I have which is Fireline? It’s sooo thin it’s like freaking thread. I’m a wire artist so this is wayyy out of my comfort zone. I believe it’s 6lb. The beads I’m wanting to simply string are 2mm but the hole size must be pretty small as they didn’t go through my Beadalon 7. Am I supposed to double the thread? And the crimps won’t cut it? Thank you so so much in advance. I’ve been wanting to make this for months but still can’t figure out how. 😩
The shiny clipboard is confusing and I wish the actual bead sizes were given. I know they can be different than the demo, but a place to start is helpful. And I question the use of fishing line. Kind? It looks like that wiry stuff that ages and breaks easily.
Might wanna use some lubricant while using those diamond tips and keep water on your glass to help keep the dust to a minimum. Dont have to worry about glass dust on your fingers ma'am were built tougher than that but that dust is a medical issue and can tear your lungs up. Watch leslye Pyke's glass tutorials for some professional "she works for the royal family at times" information. Ciao.
Thank You this video is awesome. For school we have been studying Native Americans. I had to make a artifact so yeah. I was wondering how you could crimp the crimp beads by yourself. I had to ask my mother.
Hello, Thank you for the great idea and design. Materials list, step-by-step instructions and tips were very helpful. I was looking for a video that showed how to incorporate paper beads into a jewelry design, and your video was just what I was looking for. Although I am an experienced beader, I liked how you explained everything so that even a beginner could make this necklace. What I saw of the finished necklace at the very end was really pretty and inspiring.

Thanks for that. By any chance do you know the gauge of that wire?
Is this strong enough to make a necklace and it will not come out even with the weight of the beads?
Pegaluce Usually not
Fishing comes in different weights like wire. If it’s string enough to bring in a fish, stones or beads should be fine.
Jenyfur Smith Initially yes, but finishing line of any weight becomes brittle with time and wear.
