3D drainage excavation using 2D data… How does that work? Here’s a guide... All we need to do next is apply an offset for the thickness of the pipe wall, the thickness of the bedding... and verify against the pipe laser.

When it comes to modelling foundations, we have options… Here are three different ways we can do it. We can keep it simple with number 1 - Centrelines at FFL This is the most common type used across the country because it’s quick to draw up and the closest workflow to traditional setting out (you have one line to follow regardless of your bucket width and just offset down to the required depth)...

‘Goal posts’ are still the most common warning system operators have when it comes to overhead hazards… The simple but effective goal post makes the operator drop the boom to a safe position before they continue under the overhead cables or gantry etc.. great vid, would have been nice if commentated the process in what you did in the software, im new to mc1 and have learnt a lot from leica site and your site but so many of the vids just showcase what you can do and not so many about how to go about it in the real world
Thanks for your note. All I do here is go to ‘create model’ pick ‘baseline model’, then choose to ‘log new elements’. Putting the bucket on each end of the pipe to create a top of pipe 3D line… Then you can choose to use it as a reference line or avoidance zone 👍🏻 Please feel free to suggest topics for future videos 👍🏻👍🏻
