Mosaic Knitting Tutorial and free pattern
Wow ❤ so beautiful 😍 thank you for teaching us 🙏🏻
Thank you ❤️
Really helpful. Excellent tutorial. Thanks.
Thank you. Pleased you found it helpful and hope you enjoy lots more mosaic knitting ☺️
Nicely done. Helpful you kept the instructions overhead while you knit .
Thank you. Glad you found it helpful ☺️
Thank you so very much! It worked out for me thanks to your clear instructions.I think you are a very good teacher.
Thank you for your very kind review. I'm so glad this tutorial was helpful for you and hope you now feel confident to complete a brioche knit project 😊
What is CDD🤔
Hi. This is a Centered Double Decrease. It decreases a stitch to the left and one to the right of a central point. 😊
@ thank you🙌🏼 Happy Christmas 🎄
@veervanwessel You too 🎁
I made it myself by accident and experiment making new things, now I don't know what to do with it, are there ideas to complement that with an idea?
Crocheting around a ring can be a great way to make decorations, bag handles or bracelets 😊
Oh that's sounds good to me. Thanks 📨❤️❤️❤️
So glad I found you. Your gave me the confidence to give it a go at mosaic. Thanks heaps ❤
Thank you. That's so nice to hear. It's such a great technique and now you can do it you won't want to stop 😉
Youre very quiet. I can barely hear you
Thank you for your feedback 😊
I totally agree with first comment ! 👏 do you think you can do a video for how to mark with a spare piece of yarn ? 🙏🏻 please
👍 thank you for the suggestion 😊
Thank you for this well done video ! ❤ Video is clear and close .
Thanks 😊. Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much. The colorwork was intimidating. This way, I can add color, and it's much easier.😊
Thank you. So glad it helped. It does look intimidating but I love mosaic knitting because it creates gorgeous results without complicated stitches and yarn changes!! Hope you now feel ready to make loads of mosaic knit projects!! 😀
Thanks for making this! I have been using this stitch in a shawl I’m making.
Thank you. Hope it was useful. Enjoy making your shawl 😊
Thank you for sharing! It's very helpful as I'm about to try mosaic knitting for the first time. I love the sweater you're wearing too! Such beautiful texture and color 😀
Thanks ❤️. Mosaic knitting is definitely one of my favourite techniques because it's easier than it looks for great results. I hope you enjoy it and if you need any help let me know 😊
I think the chart in the instructions should be knit RS and purl WS (empty box in chart) correct? the purl is missing but this video helped
Thanks @Darkslide99 . Glad the video helped 😊
How do you end the ring/stitch?
Hi. Thanks for your question. If you are making this into a wreath or other decoration, you can go right ahead and crochet into the stitches around the edge. If you're ending here, simply cut the yarn leaving a tail and extend the loop until the yarn pulls through. Thread this onto a darning needle and join to the first stitch of the round using an invisible finish. 😊
Thank you👌🏽God Bless
Thank you 😊
I like this! Very tidy SSK. Going to give this a go.
Thanks. Hope you find it useful in your projects. 😀
I wanna start crocheting but i don't have any knowledge about what to buy and where to start from do you have any tips for me?
Hi. Thanks for reaching out. As a beginner, you want to start with a slightly thicker yarn - look for DK or worsted and something plain and smooth. Grab yourself a 4mm or 5mm wooden hook and start by just learning how to do a chain, to get used to holding and working the hook and yarn together. Then move onto stitches like double crochets (UK) / single crochet (US) (I know, it can be very confusing that they have different names in different countries!!). Browse our Crochet playlist and look out for new tutorials for beginner crochet - ua-cam.com/play/PLA6jsX1xvd7Eh8yNzPUCz3OBH9o3z-Pr1.html 😊
I like your channel. You explain well and magnify sonwe can see You take your time and the background music Yep I'll be watching n following you❤❤❤❤👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 those #knitpro
Thank you 😀. Really glad you liked it. Thanks for your comments 🥰🧶
I just completed this tutorial with you and I am in LOVE! Your instructions were very clear and easy to follow, and i loved the way this particular pattern gave me four chances to practice the left-leaning decrease before moving on to the right-leaning one. I'm subscribing so that I can follow along with you next time. Thank you so much - I got a massive amount of enjoyment from learning this with you just now.
Thanks for your positive feedback. It's always great to hear that the tutorial was helpful and also that you enjoyed it, which is just what knitting should be 😊
FANTASTIC tutorial. I just made my very first sample of brioche thanks to you, and it turned out flawless, and I'm thrilled! (I've only ever heard negative things about brioche, like that it's annoying or daunting, but you made it so easy that I don't know what all those people were talking about.) Now I'm downright HUNGRY to know how to make that next piece, so I'm on to the next video. I love the sound of your voice, too. So much to love about this. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments and it's great to hear that the tutorial was helpful. It really is a great technique once you know how to do it!! Keep your eye out for future videos 😉
Those colors are so freakin pretty
Thank you ❤️ Like delicious shades of ice cream!🍨
Ooo looks so cool! Sharing to boost the amount of people seeing your products!
Thank you so much ❤️
@@verdeuk ofc ☺️ no problem!
Just found your videos. Thank you.I have been teaching myself to knit. I have been crocheting since 2010. I really love mosaic crochet and I am really interested in mosaic knitting. I can't wait to try it.
Glad you found my videos and hope these are helpful for you. I love Mosaic Crochet too and I think you'll really enjoy Mosaic Knitting once you give it go 😊 If you have any questions or need anything let me know 🧶
A great explanation of brioche
Thank you. Hope you found it helpful. It's such a great technique to try once you know the basic stitches 😊
I think you are going to be super successful at this youtube thing but please use bigger needles and yarn for better visibility for your audience
Hi. Thanks for your comment. Suggestion noted :)
Better use larger needles and yarn for this type of tutorial ❤
Subscribed U r a beast at this Another video please ❤❤
Why putting stitch on right hand needle and just putting it back on the left? I'm confused
Hi. Thanks for the question. The first stitch is slipped knitwise and then passed back purlwise. This twists the stitch so that it lays flatter and neater on the decrease. Hope this helps 😊
Well done. I've been using a variety of stitches that mimic knit fabric. I look forward to playing with your method ~ I believe I have some yarn around here that will work perfectly. Thank you.
That's great. Hope you enjoy giving it a go. 😊
As a Dutch person, the difference between the English and American stich names is very confusing
Yes, would make things a lot simpler if the same terms were adopted globally. 😊
The still background for your video is a bit clickbaity. I thought you were gonna teach that fancy pattern.☹️ now I wonder where to find that.
Thanks for your feedback. I'll bear this in mind for future videos 😊
Love your white background and pale yarn but with a very dark crochet hook! Impressive! 💗
Thank you 😍 hope you give this technique a go. It's a really lovely texture.
Thank you. ❤
Thanks 😊 Hope you found it useful.
I would love to hear your voice, but even listening over my hearing aid...full volume..I could not hear you. I will admit there was more background noise than usual in my environment...but gosh, can you turn up the volume on your end also?
Thanks for your comments and sorry you had trouble hearing this. Hopefully you can still follow this or download the written pattern 😊
Thankyou. After all the work of knitting something so beautiful, it's good to know how to finish it so neatly. Just discovered your tutorials and really enjoying them.
That's lovely to hear. Thanks so much. Working on adding more soon 😊
I love the sleeveless shirt you are wearing!! My I please get the pattern???
Thanks 🥰. I made this top for myself a few years ago without a pattern but it is possible that I could write one up in the future 😊
@@verdeukI know you're busy, I may be able to figure it out on my own...thanks for your time xoxo
When you say to purl the knit stitches, you mean the stitches that you knitted on the other side, right? Because from the wrong side, where you're working, they look like purl stitches. Am I understanding you correctly?
Hi. Thanks for your message. Yes, any stitch that was "worked" (so in this case knit) on the right side, for this pattern is then purled on the wrong side. Any stitches that were slipped, should again be slipped. Hope that clarifies. 😊
Very nice tutorial! Do you ever knit in the Continental style? I found the method you're using confusing/distracting.
Thank you. Although I did learn to knit continental style, it isn't commonly used in the UK. I'll certainly consider this for future tutorials though. 😀
Wow! You're multi-talented!🤩 I suppose there are pros to learning both methods. Interesting how people tend to knit differently by region! I'm from the US, but I learned in Germany way back when I spent a year abroad in university. I look forward to more of your tutorials. Thank you so much for sharing your time and knowledge!
Very true. When learning to knit, you don't realise how many different ways there are.! I guess it's important to try them all and see what suits us best😊
There are tutorials out there taught continental style. I had the reverse problem. I do English style and I can’t understand continental instruction. NimbleNeedles has a tutorial on mosaic knitting continental style.
Babe, ya NEED a microphone at your collar to catch your voice so that ALL of us can hear ya. The problem is, I can't see anything you may do because of having to hold my device speaker up to my ear, ya see?
I didn’t have a problem. Can I suggest you need to turn up the volume on your device?
It's hard to hear on my desktop as well; I just turned it up as loud as it allows and still really needed to pay close attention. Thinking earphones would also help! @@annettekanizay2785
Thanks I'll look into better options for future videos. 😊
Thank you! Good tips!😊 And beautiful piece od work, is it mosaic work?
Thank you 😍 Yes it is. Love Mosaic Knitting (and crochet!).
Learn knitting sweather kids
😊
I can’t hear what your saying even though my volume is up 3/4’s of the way. Can still watch of course.
Apologies for problems with sound. Hope you managed to get some help from the video, and written instructions can also be found at verde.uk/blogs/news/chevron-stitch-tutorial-master-zigzag-pattern 😊
@@verdeuk yes thank you very much 😊
I have looking for a channel that will show me and teach the stitch A long time ago I was taught how to knit visually and not know how to read a knitting book I am so glad I found you
Thank you. 😍
Ich würde mir die Finger brechen wenn ich SO Stricken müsste! Wer hat dir das beigebracht??? 🫣
This is the flicking technique, popular in England. The yarn is held in the right hand and the finger guides the yarn around without releasing the needle so is often quicker than the English method of 'throwing'. This differs to the Continental technique where yarn is held to the left 😊
Love watching you knit 🧶
Thank you 😊
New Subscriber, I have been very interested in mosaic knitting but was really hesitant about trying. But you made it easy for me to understand and try! Thank you very much! I look forward to any and all videos you share. God Bless
Thank you so much. Really glad you're giving it a go. I love it. Once you start mosaic knitting it's hard to stop 😀
Good visual and instructions 👍👍
Thanks. Hope it was useful 😊
I’ve NEVER tried mosaic knitting because I thought it would be impossibly hard. I stumbled across your page, and you have opened up a whole world for me! Thank you for this great tutorial and showing us how easy it can be!!
Thank you. I'm really, really pleased that you feel confident to give it a go. It's one of my favourite techniques in creating colourwork patterns. Please spread the word that Mosaic Knitting is accessible for everyone 😍
Thank you. You are very helpful and clear on all aspects of knitting mosaic in the round. Your calm and quiet manner of explaining everything that one encounters while trying to knit mosaic in the round is delightful and perceptive and shows how thoroughly you understand your subject. Thank you😊
Thanks so much for your lovely comments. Hope you found this helpful and have fun with your mosaic knitting 😍
