a wonderful woman, her trauma story reminded me of my childhood as an immigrant child, the alienation and how to grow out of that situation, mine was in the uk so no 'croatian' community for some sense of belonging to something. But as a dalmatinac I turned this to my advantage and wrote songs of sorrow and like most travellers have had the most interesting of journeys. Cheers love your broadcasts. Bok! I know it’s been a year since this video, so I’m wondering about the updates. Thank you for this video! I have seen others from all of you, and you’re doing a great service. I think the initiative is amazing with the fact that you are trying to help everyone trying to come back to Croatia and get citizenship. I started the process almost 2 years ago, and I applied 15 months ago (and waiting). I went through Sara, at Expat in Croatia (and Inis, my lawyer in Zagreb)… - so it was Great to see EiC called out. Originally, I went through amazing genealogists in August 2022, and finally found records in 12/2022. Both my grandparents were born in Croatia, and I was raised with my Croatian Grandma Lucija. ❤ I would love to know if the app is able to track the process of citizenship. You enter the info, and then does it tell you where you are in the process, what the wait time is, etc. I’m too late for that. I went through the Chicago Consulate, and I was very happy with Consul General Sanja Lakovic. I am leaving the USA next July, so hopefully I have my citizenship by then.
