Heritage Flight 2024 flying at Davis Monthan AFB.
I saw these guys in Harlingen, Tx. back in the 70's and 80's when they were stationed there. They're were called "The Confederate Air Force" back then.
I was at an airshow 40 years ago.....there was a B-17 belly gunner, sitting next to a B-17 and talking to the people.....he flew from Jan 1945 until the end of the war in May 1945 He stated that he never saw a German fighter in the air that whole time.
@@pigdroppings That was definitely possible
@@MARCTOWNUSA The Russians over ran the Romanian oil fields in Aug 1944. That is where Germany got most of its oil....no oil, no airplanes.
Confederate Air Force
There are only 6 in flying condition as of July 2024.
very good video!
@@DMDesignStudios Thank you!
Who's Driving Gramma or grampa 😂
Your Grandpa
I was on the design team for this aircraft in 1975 in Lakeland, Florida. We obtained the engine from a helicopter and had to modify it to run in a horizontal configuration.
That sounds pretty crazy how that happened. Thanks for that info
Is it the GT? That budget has
No, this is just the very first basic Mach E versión. We'll probably get the GT version later this year. We been having issues with the cars not having enough chargers around to be buying more so will have to wait and see if we get anymore of the charger problem is fixed.
@@MARCTOWNUSA ty
Its the V6 model, its a rental car. (Even if you buy it its still a rental car, dodge not mopar ready untill v8 5.7
I wish a have that model thats my favorite
Thanks and it's my favorite too
Those are fun to rent
Not complicated at all and very convenient
get another keyboard, that one belongs to the cat now
Yes.. lol
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Legend says he is still on the keyboard 🤣🤣
She is...lol
That is a Fokker DR1 triplane repica and not a very good one
Thanks for the correction. I don't have any idea why I put that...lol
Thanks for posting this. As you were poking your head into the wheel wells and the interior, the smells were coming back to me in my head. Old bomber smells are amazing.
You welcome and yes anyone who is a true aviationist not only sees but touches, hears , and smells aviation!
If one more of these gets destroyed, I'm going to change my mind about flying vs. static display.
Iam praying no more of these incidents happen
@@MARCTOWNUSA I mean, too many risks are being taken. The shows and demonstrations are very cool, but maybe we need to just fly them to the airshow to be ground displays. Anyone wanting to see them fly can watch them come in and land or take off. Maybe I'm wrong, but seems like a long time ago a number of Mustangs were lost in one year. Was it four? Low-level aerobatics was a factor in most or all of them. The pilots were factors, too, as I think all of them were in their mid-to-late 70s.
Can anybody get in to actually touch this plane?
Yes, you can go all the way in and go thru. I didn't cause Iam too fast too fit thru the bomb baby ..lol
Just too damned valuable to put these into the rodeo type airshows. Seems we're losing one or two of these birds every few years.
Facts. They better just let them rest and maybe keep it in this hangar for display
When F35s don’t work, just make more F5s
Right...lol😂
Is this bird flyable?
Probably but the fact that it's a museum piece is more likely to be completely retired.
They ask us not to touch but you touch anyway...
Nice coverage! Thanks! Will help a lot in painting a scale model! 🙂
Thanks! Iam also into modeling and that's one of the reasons I do these videos.
Looks like a P-51 but even though it has a thousand more hp than a Mustang it doesn't have the same performance. P-51 is 100 mph faster, climbs faster and has way more range.
Sadly your right, what a disappointment
Looks fairly robust. Wonder what the pilots say?
Iam sure they really like it
👍
🙂
Un avion d'une époque légendaire 🙂👍
i liked your video
Thank you!
it looks like an SR-71
It's the prototype of the SR-71
ohio
Hope they went home with you!. .Adorable ❤ I'd love one.
They are mine. I let them out and play while watching them and they don't stray away so they're good kitties
Please tell me they are yours?! If not I beg you please take them home and love them!🙏
They are mine. I just let them out and play while watching them. They don't stray away so they good kitties. They sure love to play outside!
That is cool 😎
Thanks!
fundamentally would have been a awesome aircraft for passenger travel.... the accident that happened seemed to seal its fate... it became obsolete for its military purpose however nothing at all seems to point to it not being repurposed for civilian use
I agree. Would have been an awesome American Concorde
Elvis has been dead 47 yrs, so why live in the past like u have no future.
I love his music first of all and second Elvis was a gift sent from God. Whether he used it right or not he has an attraction you can't stay away from like all gifts. Not that I live in the past but we who admire him remember him and those who lived in that era to actually see him know what Iam talking about.
I’m glad they brought her inside. In the 90’s she was sitting out in the weather and deteriorating. I have not visited since they built the new hanger, so glad they did….
Outside...really? Wow, Iam glad they took her inside too. It does break my heart to see treasures like this just sitting outside.
I'm so old I lost track of time. So it was the 90's when I toured it inside? I was thinking 80's. Thank for assisting me in my timelines
That wasn't Graceland, that was the Exhibition Center, the house is on the same side of the street as the Guesthouse across from the Exhibition Center
I know that but I meant that we have arrived in the area. We had just passed the Guest House hotel and at the light where we stopped was the Graceland visitors center where you buy the tickets to go to Graceland mansion. Everything is all in the same area.
Really nice!
Thank you!
Thanks for posting this walk around. I remember the local news out of Indy covered the final landing of this bird at WP near Dayton, OH in the 70s. I remember I was so “bum” that I had not know ahead of time for I would have insisted my parents take a road trip to OH to watch it land. I have not been back to WP since the 80s. Such a great aero museum. The XB-70 is still my favorite aircraft and I can remember thinking, “I bet this could still fly” when I too was walking around it back in the 80s. Thanks again for sharing…
This aircraft was like Elvis back in the day where if he left or arrived a building everyone knew about it. I could imagine it was like that and still is. Thanks for your comment
Elvis Presley is a legend He never be forgotten 👍🍻😎
That's right man. This trip here was a dream come true for me
Elvis Presley is a legend
A head legend 47 yrs
Wow cool I never saw it from that angle before.
Thank you!
Fantastic
How did this plane end up in that museum?
It's from Ukraine so since we're backing them up in the war we were able to acquire one from them.
As the Communist Regime failed the satellite Countries needed cash quick. This example came from Romania.
The Russian really know how to design a sexy looking airplane
I say myself likewise. You should see this in person. It's so huge!
How many F-22 Raptor has been retired so far.?

Sexiest bird in the sky
such a clean aircraft
I said the same thing too. I expected something less amusing but it was in immaculate condition
I can still smell that gray paint. Unique scent.
It's fresh out of active duty so it still has that Air Force smell to it... Awesome!
