Alot of people saying this machine is in-efficient and slow, i would just like to point out that what we see going into it, is the strump and the first part of the tree at the base of the trunk, as far as i know this is the hardest part of the entire tree, so maybe cut the machine some slack?

Inefficient machine. Too slow, under powered, pausing and reversing screws too much. Plus video shot is a bit too close, better to pull back a bit for a slighter wider view.

Safety first ., this system is a better way of loading . But i still believe too much material on site . Reduce byy remove as soon as you can

A little weak on horse power. A lot of time wasted when it stops and has to reverse. There are others that I have seen that just keep on going no matter how heavy the load.

You wanted to know if there is a more efficient shredder. I would be this one could handle the stumps more easily and faster! Possibly with an attachment but it was handling wood logs with ease! ua-cam.com/video/i2XGmIzRkSk/v-deo.html
A used Doppstadt DW3060 with the fine shredding shaft might be comparable but I've never seen it nor videos showing chewing up stumps with roots and small rocks like this older Crambo 6000, which is cheaper in upfront cost I think. As evident at 4:17 one stump was not enough, then they jumped to three - which was too much; but even 2 stumps starting after 6:16 was too much as well; so something I think is off or really tough type of tree, cuz I've seen this old girl do better. This was an older crambo 6000 - maybe a 2012,13,or 2014 I'd guess.
@@01mustang05 I think there is a lot of slippage in the drive assembly, as if they are using belts and pulleys or worn out mechanical friction clutches. It certainly sounds like something is slipping inside of this unit's inner workings. To be honest there is one way to properly prepare stumps for shredding and that is to crack them, not to shred them! This basically entails putting them up against a stump splitter to pre-process them before being shredded. It certainly shouldn't get thrown in whole, without any removal of dirt or rocks beforehand.
@@DarkVoidIII Slippage; good point and possibility. I didn't realize stumps should be cracked pre-shredding; don't really like extra steps, but I can see the need, especially for very large stumps; truthfully I had to search up "Stump Splitter", with the cone shaped screw in mind, found a couple other ways; I like the shear implement because it can be used for loading as well, so I think I fully understand what you're saying. Thx.
@@01mustang05 Agreed, but please remember this is just my opinion, I'm not a professional operator of any machine that has anything to do with stumps or trees. In other words, take my words with the proverbial grain of salt! :D
@@DarkVoidIII No worries and I'm already there; I don't trust anybody really; I just try to be nice as much as possible. I like the old Crambo 6000's cuz they have the screens, making more uniform material; bigger rocks can be a problem though. I haven't found a older machine yet that is a total solution; I want soil and fines screened out and uniform chunks of wood for bio-mass furnace; later.

@@lorisprincivalle why does it keep stopping? I think the design of the cutting blades are inefficient or there's not enough power for the blades to keep turning.
@@lorisprincivalle If the teeth are too aggressive then it should easily chomp through the wood but it doesn't. It shouldn't need to stop or go in reverse. The blade is a poor design.
