In this early access *review* (please see description) , we ask "is Police Simulator: Patrol Officers worth it?" knowing it's still an early access game? We explore this wonderful Police Simulator and show what is already possible in this early access review. * Please note I am not keen on the word "review" as I think it can be a disservice to the developers, but for the purpose of UA-cam searc...

TLDR: *You can be an absolute newbie, but still be able to fly from A to B and land, using a gamepad, once you go through the tutorials to have a understanding of the yoke and throttle*. I have trouble, flying the planes in GTA, but as I have a PC Game Pass membership, thought I'd give it a go. I actually started with the tutorials, knowing I wouldn't have a chance otherwise. I don't get perfect A's on all the tutorials, but it's enough to get you started. For my first flight, I picked a short 20 mins trip, between two airports, that I knew wouldn't be a long flight in the Cessna. It doesn't matter if you have a heavy landing, or have to go around twice, to find the runway, no one is testing you. I play with all the assists on, does it matter no, you still have to take off and land and not stall the plane etc, crash, which you can still do with all the assist on... But I just want to have fun and look at the world. Maybe in the future, I might try to go hardcore, but for now, I just enjoy plodding between A to B, taking off and landing and playing more like an arcade sim, then a hardcore sim.
Why the round world in your tutorial, EVE3RYONE KNOWS THA EARTH IS FLAT!!! Lolz J/K, great video. Thanks for sharing!
ive got virpil dual sticks but no throttle, would you recommend a throttle?
What kind of size ssd are we looking at for this game?
My installation folder is 188GB, and I still have at least 40GB world updates to download. You need at lest a 500GB ssd.
Hello, are flight simulators worthy for those people that do not have prior knowledge of flying a plane? I just refunded my Aerofly FS Global app cause I can't find a beginner friendly tutorial that can teach me how to fly an A320? Lol
Pending how things go for me in flight simulator 2024 i will be building a flight simulator cockpit to go along with my truck simulator cockpit i am building
I just got into ATS so that’s cool to hear my huge
I will be buying flight simulator 2024 when it comes out in just a few months i am excited to give it a try
i just think this game is way too hard for someone as dumb as me. besides, they teach you how to fly a specific plane in training and i want to fly big commercial ones like a 787. plus, the controls are so sensitive and have to be so specific. it’s too hard, any tips?
I would say, the key to starting this game is starting in a cessna 152 with all assistance turned off, learning the principles behind the flight controls. There are lots of great channels going over the basics, Squirrel does a very good series. Also use the in-game tutorials, they do the job just about but are a bit buggy, just a pity some start out in mid-air as this can really catch you out with things like the throttle and pitch and camera position (orienting yourself to the landing). having mucked around in the sim for years and not played it much, decided to take it seriously (also got vr which helps) and it's way more fun when you have something to do and feel like you've mastered an aircraft. I'd say having assistance enabled is your worst enemy because it gives you a false impression of having a feel for the aircraft when actually you don't and when you do turn it off, it's usually a one-way trip into the dirt so just keep it off from the get-go.
I see where you are coming from, but if you are a complete newbie to Flight Siming and have trouble with controlling the plane with some of the assists on, let alone off, unless you have the patience of a saint, you'll give up, after your tenth crash. I play with all the assists on, does it matter no, I'm still having fun. You still have to take off and land and not stall the plane, crash, etc, which you can still do with all the assists on. As a complete newbie, I just want to have fun and look at the world. Maybe in the future, I might try to go hardcore, but for now, I just enjoy plodding between A to B, taking off and landing and playing more like an arcade sim, then a hardcore sim.
@@wearecity I hear you, I was exactly like you, playing it that way until i got bored. As long as you're happy with your style of play, there's no right or wrong way, i'm just giving my experience when I flipped my way of approaching it, it just gave me an immersion level I hadnt had before.
Very good video thanks for all of the tips
It keeps saying i have to get offline files
On your next video please talk about those that want to do ATC, cover peripherals and softwares including all the nitty bits
waiting for flight sim 2024
To quote the late and great Mister Samuel L. Jackson. " Aim for the bushes".
Good video mate I'll be getting Microsoft flight 2024 in 13 weeks 👍
What aircraft & settings should I use if I basically just want an easy-to-handle mobile sky camera with some nice feeling inertia to explore their beautiful maps with? I want to be able to fly low (<500 ft) and slow. Sorry if this is sacrilege, I think aircraft are really amazing and beautiful, but at the moment I want to enjoy the scenery without going down the technical/skill rabbit hole
I once flew a real Cessna 172. With 100s of hours in Flight Simulator it was surprisingly easy. In the sim you don’t feel any movement. Going up or down is only visible through the gauges. So, flying in the sim with a good yoke or joystick is pretty difficult but also very rewarding. Just don’t think it is a game. It isn’t. It is a simulator.
Thank you, I bought this about 4 months ago. flew as a Jet, flee over my house, then didn’t know what to do. So didn’t play it again. Watched your vid yesterday & now played loads of training and loving it.
this game is a hobby within a video game. Makes you bring out your wallet from the mods to peripherals.
im trying to figure out if i should use a controller or not
Good video. I already started doing the training flights but this made me even more excited for the game and to play more :)
Downloaded the game today, wanted it for 2 weeks because I flew 2 times in my life and I’ve always admired when pilot lands and I wanted to try real simulator and learn about flying and landing, I played a mobile game for a few days but thats nothing compared to this game, first thing I did in the game was customize bindings on the controller and I started flying, first plane was Cessna Citation CJ4 and I somehow buttered the landing, I don’t know if I have some assists turned on but for the first flight it was good
Finally realistic advice! Good video!
I understand it's doubtful you'll see this but also just for others to read. I'm 60 years old so I've grown up with the complete evolution of gaming, from pong to ZX Spectrum ps1 etc etc I never got in to playing games as when it started to really evolve I had a very long self employed career. So my point in mentioning all that crap is that I am the worst game player ever but this game really excites me. I have been watching video after video on You Tube for the past 2 weeks, There a very good one who is an actual pilot and she teaches from the very, very basics of learning all the procedural stuff which I'd one day like to be able to understand. I only finally bought the game today in April 2024 during Microsoft's 40 years anniversary celebration where they've release a few special anniversary editions of 2020. I've also (because I have the spare cash) just bought the Honeycomb Alpha Flight Controls Yoke and I had already decided to do exactly as you described and just start off already up in the air and fly around like that for a couple of weeks. Now I have found out from your video just how much more I will be able to see and discover starting in this mode and I can take my time remembering what has sunk in so far from watching the basic procedural videos as i fly around and eventually learn how to pre flight check, taxi pre lift off check and go on to learn to plan routes. After watching your video I'm really confident about being able to achieve those goals in a non rushed, casual manner so as to keep it always being fun and not frustrating as I'm in no hurry with any of it. So I'm going to re watch this video and make some notes but on the off chance you ever come back to your old videos, thanks for such a cool, down to earth video, this old guy really appreciates it.
I still can't land a Cessna in JFK .. keep running out of runway
I laughed when you said its an expensive hobby. Just be cause I got an Xbox and MSFS solely to do pattern work because tis cheaper that renting an actual plane. My wife and I flew a couple hours north (via 172) and had lunch just to fly back. Cost over $600 for a burger run. I think I've invested around $50k and still haven't finished my commercial license. For those who have never flown and airplane, I think this ism is a great intro. If you set everything to HARD its very similar to the real thing. Do yourselves a favor though and find a local flight school and do a discovery flight.
When is the release?
Three years later, this BS game is still the same, cardboard vehicles, the empty roads and no realistic changeling when driving.
Yeah!
Very helpful video.
the steam revievs say that after you load into the game it installs other things in the launcher but now the steam download is 150gb does it still install things after that?
This video was useless
I won't ever touch a combat jet in MSFS.. 😂 that's for DCS
Started playing three days ago never did any of the challenges I just moved around the cabin figuring out all the buttons and levers, then adjusting the camera then crashing over and over again but now I feel pretty confident in propeller planes and some small jet planes. But I mainly enjoy flying low and slow and taking on the view and not being afraid to land in fields
horrible optimzation, one of the worst ive seen in my life. if your like me and you dont spend a years worth of mortgage on a pc then dont bother buying this game. Animations are the jankiest ive ever seen and the driving has almost no weight. it turns like if u were driving a small car.
And the AI traffic looks like cartoon cardboard cutouts at best basically the trend of the game.
I just started on this. Got about 70 hrs of flying so far. Is the AI messed up. Trying to land and the AI gives full power and can`t shut it off sometimes. Or full power on the ground taxiing. Sometimes shutting off power on auto pilot. Some planes are un-useable. Go to full power taking off and the engines just shut off and can`t get them to work after. Yes. I`m on Xbox X and using a controller for now till find a good set up. And seeing if I like the game. Seeing if can help.
I regret buying this game. The keyboard controls are stupid and not player friendly. The in-game tutorials are crap and don't give any tips on how to actually manage things like speed.
@peterpickguitar the keyboard is working now. But I think I will need certain hardware to get the full experience.
thank you
Nice. Thank you!

This game learning curve is huge. First thing I did was jumping into a 747 and I have no idea how to fly😅
Literally same just now. Flew to my city, kept crashing, and now I’m here lol.
Same hopped in a giant plane couldn’t figure out how to bring out my landing gear
@@rekeembelac1684have you had the landing gear problem
