I think this is an exaggeration. Every shoe has missteps. This season being a "bad" season speaks to the quality of the show overall because its still a fantastic season of television

I agree with the main points you made, but dismissing the three major complaints as just "conservative, sigma male, incel misogyny" is really, really dumb. Everyone knows what Hollywood is and knew what way The Boys writers and Hollywood in general leans politically, but the mean-spiritedness, pure vitriol and misandry dripping from the writers in this season was very noticeable and obvious. Making Hughie a victim of sexual assault _twice_ in the season because "it's funny to see men get raped" isn't something to just easily dismiss. And yes, showrunner Eric Kripke actually said that; look it up. Season2 and 3 had politics in it too, but it wasn't as outright hateful and antagonistic as this. I'm not conservative at all (and definitely not liberal/Progressive) but no one likes meanness, pettiness, strawmanning, and outright _bullying_ like the writers did to right-leaning people in season 4. It's especially ironic considering they wrote this all in 2022, but by the time it aired in 2024, most people were long over progressive propaganda in entertainment and left-wing hatred. This intentional antagonization of half their audience merely for existing couldn't have possibly aired at a worse time for them, as 2024 is the death of mean-spirited and hateful Progressive culture, aka wokeness. They really made The Boys hyper-woke in an election year where American conservatives won in a landslide. It's hilarious that in their small little way, they contributed to that outcome. It's a decent video, but I disagree with your points in the first ten minutes. You need to get a new mic, though. The audio inconsistencies are jarring.
