Hey there! I'm The Nerd Incarnate. I was born in this world to be your one-stop shop to the world of fandom. Media's been my passion for as long as I can remember, and it doesn't matter the form; gaming (both video and tabletop); animation and cinema (both East and West); comics or books; I dig just about all of it.
This channel won't be consistently dedicated to one thing; I'll have favorite topics to speak on (video games, One Piece, and Magic: the Gathering just to name a few) but I'm just here to have fun and share my passion; and my goal? I want you to try something new after hearing about it from me! If I can share my love for pop culture, then I'm doing my job. I've not actually seen the show, so I was going purely on what I know, but if she's got some stuff in the show I'm all for giving her additional stuff
@ when the hair grows back it no longer retains its healing properties, but it is now indestructible. (Therefore it’d make an excellent shield.) Rapunzel actually becomes an excellent heavy hitter melee combatant, being actually rather revered for how handy she is with her Frying Pan. (That thing is basically a Great Hammer) She also has two powers that could easily be the equivalent of a “final smash” or whatever the technical term is for it. Either the Decay Incantation which turns her hair jet black and slowly drains life from everyone around her, or the Hope Incantation that basically makes her go all super sayan and she has these powerful light blasts. In the final fight of the show she has harness the power enough that when she whips her hair at her opponents also sends a lash of light after her and she can use it to blast through solid rock. I’d argue you could also have the move where she can control black rocks except for the fact that if you wanted to include Cassandra from the show that’d be an excellent move for her to use. Because aside from being basically a DnD fighter, she also gains the power to control these black spiky rocks with some freaky abilities. And as much as I’d love to see Varian the alchemist to make an appearance (arguably the most popular character from the show) he’s probably better suited as whatever an assist trophy would be. But if I can speculate, because I’m a nerd, I would love to see him with some alchemy attacks. He’s small, scrawny, and more of a ranged fighter. Using his alchemy to trip up opponents and outsmart his enemies. Lance Strongbow also good assist trophy vibes. And as much as I’d love to see Eugene, I feel like he’d play too closely to Aladdin.

What a video, man. What a list! I like most of your choices, but here are some i feel deserved a spot as well: *Mal* *Mei Lee* *Meridith* *Stanford Pines* *Anne Boonchuy* *Dr. Doofenshmirtz* *Randy Cunningham* And here are a few characters you opted out of adding to the roster, that I think should be reconsidered. *Chernobog* - You didn't really opt out of adding him, i just think he should be both a boss and a character. *Sora* - I get your reasoning, but I personally don't believe redundancy is a good enough reason to exclude him from the roster. *Judy Hopps* - High mobility options, punches and kicks, and a taxer. It's not the most complex moveset, but every character doesn't need to be. And she's far too iconic to leave off the roster imo. *Dipper & Mabel* - One of the most integral secnes to Dipper's development is him dropping the journal and facing Bill with his fists. He would definitely fight in a game where strings are being pulled by Bill. Also, they have infinite move set potential. They can use their flashlight to grow limbs in order to deal more damage, or to shrink enemies, making them lighter. Mabel can use her grappling hook and leaf blower, and Dipper could use the silver mirror to summon the ghost of Northwest Manor for an attack. The list goes on.

Disney seems completely fine about associating with Marvel, Star Wars, & some of Fox since Avengers Campus & Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge are inside the Disney parks & Disney Plus hinged a LOT of marketing on The Simpsons the reason none of these have the Disney branding is they are already well-established as their own thing (and Fox hasn't been around long enough to really do anything yet) (you picked the one Marvel super hero, Disney famously doesn't own, what)

Great lineup! Love the blend of divisions, eras, etc and we had a lot of similar thoughts. Personal swaps: Darkwing Duck -> Sprig Plantar. Anne is the obvious choice for Amphibia, but especially without touching spoilers, Sprig has more going for him, between his frog anatomy and slingshot, to make for an interesting fighter, and isn't so downballot as to be unreasonable. All the cartoon picks were solid, but between Scrooge, Mickey-verse, and Goliath, Darkwing seemed most expendable. Star -> Mei. With Stark vs. whiffing the landing so badly, it's really hard for me to see Star being prioritized, and if you want modern Pixar, Mei could play like Corrin in neutral but take on total transformation in limited bursts to take stocks.

2 Tron characters and Stitch's gf before The Emperor's New Groove representation is ridiculous (just watching the stages section rn, so maybe they're in dlc idk) OK yeah if I had to pick 1 character, Yzma probably is the best. All 4 main characters would work so well though! Tipo and Chaca (Pacha's kids) could be fun too, maybe as fast and annoying play style, with traps or something
Quorra and Angel got in solely on virtue of being clones. They wouldn't have been in otherwise. I always do DLC so if your favorite isn't in base not all hope is lost XD

As a massive Judy Hopps stan I am a bit disappointed at her not being in the roster. Zootopia would make for a pretty cool stage too. That being said, the rest of the roster is great! Very good video overall! Looking forward to more roster builds

I really enjoyed this video! I will say I definitely think Cinderella should have been in this roster as she is (arguably) the face of the Disney Princess brand and beyond iconic. I also think she could easily fit the “not-a fighter, fighter” like Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, or (to an extent) Princess Peach. All in all, love the concept 🔥
I'm glad you enjoyed! I personally can't see her as a fighter, nor do I really see a large amount of actual moveset potential, but I did include her Castle as a stage because that film is very culturally significant.

@TheNerdIncarnate Sorry about the abrassiveness of my comment. I know this video took a lot of effort and I applaud you for it. That snippet at the end was especially uncalled for so I am sorry for it. But I do want to emphasize how little sense that decision makes to me. Especially considering the entire point of crossovers within fighting games is to generate popularity for the original IPs. Kingdom Hearts 2 is my second favorite video game of all time. The only reason I even played the games in the first place is because of Sora's inclusion in smash. Thats the type of thing brands like Capcom were intending when they included their characters. By that logic, they shouldnt add Ken or Ryu to the next Capcom fighter or SF because they were in Smash. Also, I think Sora's inclusion in smash would make him a shoe in for this roster as a symbol of Disney adopting the fighting game genre. Mosy importantly, Disney likes money. If they have an opportunity to include an icon like Sora over another unpopular, unmarketable character. They will. There is zero chance of characters like the Horned King or that obscure dragon guy you mentioned at the end of ever becoming popular again. There'd be no monetary advantage to including them. So why would Disney include them? Sora's not being included, while disappointing, isnt as upsetting as that reason for not including him. It felt hand wavy when you went out of your way to include super obscure characters. Especially Horned King. Frankly, replace him with another character. If your reason for not including a much more iconic character like Judy Hopps is not having enough for a moveset, then why is he here?
@@gimmiK87 I think Sora just can't be in because Square Enix is also the owner of Kingdom Hearts, and i''m not gonna lie, it was only possible for Sora to be in smash because of Sakurai having such a good strong relationship with Disney and Square Enix. Maybe in a hypothethical scenario the person making this Disney game was a member of square enix then maybe Sora could have made the cut, but realistically he wouldn't be in the first game but rather a sequal or the third game which brings more 3rd party Disney owned properties.

I love Kingdom Hearts. It's one of my favorite video game franchises of all time. But as much as I love it - conflating Sora's importance to the Walt Disney company by comparison of Ryu to Capcom is a supremely bad argument. Ryu is Capcom's mascot. Sora is the black sheep of the Disney family; he rarely if ever sees crossovers in general, much less on Disney turf; he has basically no merchandise sold at Disney parks, and he got in Smash Bros. on virtue of being a video game fan favorite. Disney fans, the people this game is theoretically made for, do not give a damn about Sora. Why include characters like Figment or Horned King? Because they're interesting left field picks. Might I remind you that Sakurai prioritized Mr. Game & Watch and the Ice Climbers over Wario in Smash? Not every character needs a monetary advantage, especially on the base roster. Devs, and people who pick choices for a roster, will push for something different, a curveball - Nubia in Multiversus, Oblina in NASB - and there's nothing wrong with it. To quote fellow roster maker Thorgi: "You can't just have faces, you gotta have the freaks." As far as Figment goes - he's there for the true Disney fans. The people who go to the parks every year. Just because he doesn't appear in anything you've seen doesn't mean he's a bad pick. As for Horned King specifically - he's a skeleton necromancer that commands dark magic and an army of undead. I'm sorry, but that's inherently more interesting than the generic punches and kicks that Judy would utilize. I like Judy, but she's an investigative officer, not a fist-fighter. Not to mention, as I pointed out in the video - Horned King was considered for the Disney fighting game we never got. I stand by my character choices.

Even if we don't end up with a Disney-owned platform fighter, I would not mind if the next Smash game is somehow a Vs. Capcom style crossover between Nintendo and Disney as a result of Sora being in Ultimate. It would at least justify cutting the roster in half because time would be spent on developing the Disney characters onto the game. I also want Disney characters to be chosen based on a rivalry theme with Nintendo characters who also end up making the cut (Ex: Mario and Mickey being their respective company's mascots, Link and Peter Pan being how the latter inspired the creation of the former, Pit and Hercules being Greek-based heroes, etc.).

I would argue that Mater should've been in as a Fighter I mean, if there was a platform fighter to make an actual car fighter, it would be Disney and ngl. Maters moveset would definitely be the most creative one out of the whole roster He could use his tow hook for a Scorpion style.
