Hey Jessie! I love watching and listening to the birds too, very calming for me. Chicken salad is so easy and a quick meal or lunch that we all enjoy. I’ve heard it was a good show I’ll have to watch it and skip those scenes too lol! I love the movies that are based on her books so when I saw the adult coloring book I knew I would enjoy it and coloring is so calming and relaxing for me especially when life gets chaotic. Hey Jaime! Thank you! Yes it’s a bit different in all areas of Louisiana. I’m from the southern part close to New Orleans. New Orleans and the surrounding parishes have weekly parades and the floats are professionally made and on a grander scale whereas other areas have floats that are homemade and not quite as many parades. There is an area of Louisiana that parades on horses in costumes and they go door to door collecting ingredients for gumbo(it’s more of a rural, country area) and at the end a communal pot of gumbo is made for everyone to enjoy, that is a tradition that’s been around for ages in the southwest part of Louisiana. I know in the south each parade krewe has their own “royal” ball where there’s a king, queen and maids. You can probably find UA-cam videos that shows the parades and the different balls. It’s definitely a fun time for all. There are parades that are family oriented but Mardi Gras day on Bourbon Street is not where you want to take your kids definitely adult only, we have always stuck with family friendly areas.
