omg.. i don't know if you'll see this but I'm currently doing TAPIF in Nantes. and when i saw your video, I thought you looked familiar and then I realized I went to the same high school and was a flute player in the band program (3 years younger than you)! this video is so accurate lol. there are a lot of things i miss about home and i dread teaching a lot of days though I'm trying to make the best of it because I'll miss it when it's gone despite how lonely it can be. hope you're doing well :)

Hi Emma! I do remember you! That's so funny that you ended up doing TAPIF too 😄 I completely understand that feeling--all you can do is just try to appreciate all of the good things and also hold space for yourself to be lonely, frustrated, homesick, etc. It's all part of the experience ❤

With peace and love this diet doesn’t seem to be working, like you may be losing weight but depriving your body of carbs and nutrients seems to be making you miserable :( Our bodies need carbs to process food and stay full longer

Hey thank you I appreciate the advice. I don’t actually feel any worse than before-I got headaches and had gut issues when I was eating a high carb diet as well. My bloating has gone down a bit but otherwise I pretty much feel the same. I was hungry all the time before as well 😂 but this was just a two month test to see what happened so when it’s over I will start adding complex carbs back in again 🫶

Hey! I see that you are trying to draw blood and I know that it can be hard to do so, but as someone who has diabetes I have found a way get a good amount of blood. I would say to try and pinch the upper part of your finger with your thumb and place your ring finger on top of of your finger. Do this to the middle finger, its the finger that is easiest to draw blood from when doing this. You will see the tip of your finger become really red, thats where you want to place the needle. Do not press too hard though, too much blood may come out. Take the needle thingy and apply it to the tip of your finger and press the button to draw blood. Enough should ome out to place on the test strip! I know that this may be hard, but you got this! I want to mention that it takes at least two hours for your sugar to go back down after you eat. Check before you eat, and then check it again about 20-30 minutes after you eat and then check again in about an hour and a half to two hours. You got this!!!

that's more than moderate ketosis. testing the blood with a finger prick unit will be much more accurate. after a while your metabolism will adjust to be more efficient, and your body won't be dumping so much byproduct into your urine. so the test strips won't show up with that nice satisfying deep purple anymore. Not that dark, anyway. suggestion: try carnivore and one meal a day. I was keto for 15 years, and switched to carnivore about a year ago.

My midday keto hack for office work around 2-3pm is getting salted macademia nuts and snacking on those and/or eating a can of sardines. No to low carbs! It puts your energy in check like no other on keto. COffee, tea or anything like that in such a circumstance just won't do it. I hate the corporate 9-5 partially for this reason. I need a break at midday!

Put xyltitol in Matcha with a shot of espresso (and half and half or heavy creme). I bought a deloghi espresso maker model 3420. Great investment for only $200. Xylitol tastes JUST LIKE sugar, but is zero Glycemic effect. Peets coffee has zero sugar matcha. I like going there for it.

No matter how you feel, remember your body is not meant to stay in ketosis. It is harmful long term and harms brain function. Have a set end date before you start. Keto is a thin line away from an eating disorder and many slip into it and just say they're doing keto long term. These people do permanent damage to their bodies and are at high risk of heart attack regardless of age and activity level.

My homestay was just outside the "Boulevard Périphérique," the road that goes around Paris, and I wouldn't say it was too bad. I had to walk a few blocks to the tram and then take the tram two stops to get to the metro. It was a bit farther than some of my friends had to commute who lived in a more central location, but it really wasn't bad at all. I actually liked being away from the hustle of the more central areas. If you know where you'll be staying and where your school is, I would be happy to take a look and try to figure out what metro lines you should take!

I’m 63 and live at home with my parents who co-own the home with me. We sat around and watched Netflix movies all weekend coz it was too cold to do much else. I’m caregiving my mother who at 86 has slight Alzheimer’s or dementia. I work from home fulltime but am thinking of retiring in a year or two to become a fulltime writer (I’m a business writer by profession anyway), to write books and build up my KDP account. Which is already starting to make royalties. Then I plan to move back to Europe (France) and live happily ever after as long as Herr Trump doesn’t unleash Putin (assuming Trump wins the WH again by hook or crook) to totally destabilize that part of the world by dissolving NATO.
