Interesting to see the challenges faced by longer EV journies and how different apps can assist.
Please Publicly announce you are back on X.
Stephen, what product do use to scrape specific video sections off of internet?
The best way to do an EV roadtrip is to just rent a gas-job and avoid the masochism. Take a couple Jerry cans and enjoy any road you want.
Great video! I’ve always doubted Apple intended the first AVP for mass consumption. For months, the news was that they would only release 400,000 units. To put that into perspective, their last new product was released 9 years ago and was considered “niche.” Even then, they still had 2 million units available. Apple set the AVP price at $3,500. So, either you believe Apple completely lost their minds or it was released as a high-tech, low-supply, high-priced “exploratory device.” One believes Apple had no understanding of the general tech consumer or the spending habits of their own customers. The other believes Apple released the AVP to gather feedback from early adopters in both the enterprise and consumer markets. I do not believe Apple is a stupid company, and dumber than “The Verge”.
Another great episode 😎🤙🏻❤️
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
omg, we had MS RDS and Citrix´s for decades and they talk about this MS 365 Link as it is something new.
Cool idea but I worry about data security!
You lost your Internet connection goodbye everything 😅
It's a thin client
Dots 100% on.
I was surprised that you didn’t include the Dreame X40 Ultra in your gift list. 😊
😏 It’s a great vacuum! But I was sticking with tech I use almost daily
I like that onepassword changed the verbiage of the ad read a bit. The campus quad thing ran out of steam months ago.
They didn’t change it, I just went off script 😉
My last job involved me authenticating on a weekly basis with both Outlook and Teams
The. Worst.
Happy Thanksgiving! People often lump Google and Apple together, but there’s a significant difference in the legal troubles they face. Many journalists refer to Google as “Open Source,” while Apple has always been closed and for-profit. So, their legal issues and potential violations are based on different standards. While complaining about data mining is pointless, I’m still furious about the complete disregard and greed displayed by Google, Facebook, and possibly Amazon. These companies collected and Sold our PERSONAL data to ANYONE before laws were enacted to protect us. Now, there’s no chance that the media or politicians will take significant action against them because of their dependence on the current system. The App Store, compared to the extensive damage data mining has caused society, is paltry.
First comment & battery % on pencil tip towards power button lol happy thanksgiving guys thank u for the great pod u guys do every week thank u 😎🤙🏻🦃
Happy Thanksgiving! Good on Pencil direction
Crucial is a subsidiary of Micron a US company. They make quality products.
For sure!
DOTS ON!!!
YES!!
Dots are as important as gauges in a car. Gotta know what's going on
Agreed! - SR
This is definitely not the right analogy.
Yes, I have Sleep Focus mode ON every night/
Good call
Apple Vision Pro on a plane: No Apple Vison Pro in a Tesla in a parking lot: Yes 🤣
Haha ridiculous
OMG! 😆 I ❤️ the full sized num-pad!
If you do lots of number entry it’s pretty great
Google can just wait until next year, this will probably go away with the next administration. Deregulation is coming
The case was filed in 2020 by the Trump DOJ
I use the keypad on a keyboard a lot for typing in graphics and video parameters. I can't use the small keyboard anymore.
Ah that’s another helpful use case
Q while in CMD TAB is AMAZING 🤟
The. Best.
Great show! That’s what I don’t understand about the EU rules: they seem to target Capitalism itself. The typically American company doesn’t have to demonstrate any “harm” or show that the service disadvantages its customers. The EU determines that the company is a “Gatekeeper” and so must share or open up that feature with COMPETITORS or face billions of dollars in fines from the EU. These fines aren’t rebated to users or even the “kept-out” competitors; they’re simply transferred to the governments of the EU.
Eurocrats basically just took the long March through the institutions. When the wall fell communism didn't lose, it just took a roadtrip to Europarl. They hate it when private corps succeed or profit.
The reason the ads on Apple News are so bad is because Apple minimizes the data they use from the users.
But they do have interest and habit data (you can see in iPhone settings > privacy)
This explains why they aren't targeted or relevant, but has nothing to do with why they are so garbage. That part is because they partnered with Taboola.
"Dispatched to the bottom row" imma use this line more often haha
Haha that is good
The fact that this doesn’t come with a keyboard and mouse is ridiculous
Yeah, but ideally people know what they're getting in to with this device.
Great banter and info. God bless you BUT you talk about microphones and yours needs so much help. Your voice sounds so muffled because of a few things but the first thing needed is a HPF (High Pass Filter). Please fix that and you will sound so good.
Who's mic needs that?
Dots on for the dock. I need to know what's running at a glass.
you really don't
@@jasonraten Haha, I really do.
THANK YOU -SR
Fastmail does have push support on iOS. You have to download and install a profile from your account settings.
@stephenrobles starts knocking @jasonaten article about quitting Google as a search engine as clickbait, then goes on to realise Jason has a point and starts to think maybe he should start using it more - love it.🤣 BTW - Dock Bottom, Hiding, Dots on.
Haha it's true, and dots ON FTW!
If your dots are off, we can not be friends. Unless, you have a podcast, then we're cool!
Friends 🤝
Dots on!!!!
Thank you!!
🎯 Google > Reddit results… annoying
Dots definitely on!!
YES
Jason looks happy on the thumbnail…%On,pencil down, non dom!
Dots ON! This was the craziest thing - I didn't even know people used it without dots on.
Why would you need dots? Why do you ever think about what apps are running?
@@jasonratenyou’re def losing this one
For example to know what apps are open that might be causing a slowdown or what app I can close to free up RAM… who wants to go into Activity Monitor just to see what’s running lol
Do you have them turned on your iPhone so you can see which apps are running?
BF10= Black Friday10 although Best Friend does sound a lot better
Haha good call
Came to UA-cam to comment a merch idea Merch: primary tech/logo on the back (so we know it’s your merch) On the front A picture of a IPhone or Mac Dock and say “Whats in your Dock” or say “Small Phone Big Dock” (with a iPhone mini) 😂😂 take ya pick make it yours whatever lol I think this is great can’t wait to grab the current merch tho
"We have a gymnast" merch!
Memory not storage noob
I always come to the UA-cam version just to like the video hope that’s enough lol I’m a Apple podcast listener
That's amazing you do that! Appreciate it very much 🙏🏻
I hope they break Pixelmator into standalone apps. Apple equivalents to Photoshop, and Lightroom.
We need to see Jason wearing the Apple Vision Pro on his flight to Portugal 🤣😎 BTW - take an extension cable with you when travelling - then use your US to EU plug on the end of it - you can use your US plugs on the extension cable end and you won't be constrained by the hotel power sockets that way 👍
Great tip! And I'm trying my hardest to convince him!
How much better is nanotexture than paper like ?
the Paperlike has a much more textured feel. The nano-texture on the iPad feels different than the regular, but nearly like the paperlike. I think overall if you want the effect, the nano-texture is better. The advantage of the paperlike is that you can just take it off if you change your mind.
Thanks
The tier pricing is indeed a greedy money grab and comes close to predatory pricing IMO. This is Apple’s greed model in play that has helped them reach their $3trillion valuation. The Feds were after Apple for their business practices, that probably goes away with the new administration. Business will get a pass and favor on nearly anything but consumer protections across many categories will be negligible or become non existent
Thanks for not talking about the election!
And yet you brought it up.
@ Lock me up
