They have saved so many lives. Seeing them turn up when you’ve had a major accident must be such a relief, knowing you are in excellent hands.

A few thoughts. It only takes a moment for something to change the rest of your life. . . . . Or end it. Back in the Eighties I knew a lady who had had a stroke and was paralysed down her left side. After re-hab she started asking when she could ride (horses) again. "I am very sorry Mrs Lingard, but you must accept that you will not be able to ride again." At her next check up she again asked when she would be able to ride. Same response. At the 3rd appointment she asked again. After the consultant gave the familiar reply, she told him that she had been riding for the previous week. She had been a competitive equestrian before. The greatest hurdle to doing ANYTHING is the belief that you can't. The greatest thing that will HELP you achieve something is the belief that you CAN. Because your belief in your self is your greatest asset. (That and being Bloodyminded :-). I have been very fortunate to meet some amazing people. I hope I have learned something from them. Michael is another I have learned from. Thank you.

Having had to be air lifted from St Mary's on the island, to the QA, i will be eternally grateful to you all. I had a heart attack at 53. I belive the coast guard took me actually? . You guys were busy saving others. I think thats right (though i was quite "happy" on morphine at the time 😂 Thank you all from the bottom of my (slightly broken ) ❤❤❤

Are you allowed to approach the helicopter once it's fully shutdown and the pilot's left etc.?
