I have lived in Germany for almost my entire life, and i have a very cynical view of my country. (In part due to me being an introvert, and not being able to drink beer with others due to my medication, and having been forced to use the NRW regional rail every week.) So, even though Eastern German life is quite different from NRW, seeing people enjoy studying in this country makes me very happy. It's very refreshing to see people acknowledge the good things, because i struggle to look past the ugly grey buildings and the cigarette fumes. We complain so much that we forget how good the little things really are, and seeing our world through new eyes really helps a lot.
Thank you for your comment. I sometimes receive messages that my point of view for Germany as a Japanese is interesting and refreshing. That’s why I’m broadcasting in both Japanese and English. TBH, there are a lot of things that I hate in Germany, such as free but dirty toilets, unpunctual trains, and some loud people in public spaces. Still, there’s no perfect country in the world. So I’d love to broadcast what I honestly feel in Germany from a fair perspective.
