Scarab Off-Road - Under-Hood Light Kit Install Guide
Переглядів 1,9 тис.4 роки тому
This video is the official install guide the SOT (Scarab Offroad Technologies) Under-Hood Lighting Kit. This video was uploaded on 7.25.2020 using the Version 1 SOT light kit for 3rd gen 4Runners. If your kit looks different, don't worry! The installation process is extremely similar for all vehicles, and updated hardware. If that's the case, the installation process should be very similar, but...
Nice video. I would have drilled a hole in the hatch panel so the cord wasn’t ran from underneath it.
Honestly this is a pretty poor product/execution for the price. Not mentioned is the air box for a 2000 does not even come close to clearing the custom bracket. Given the cost of the kit and the bracket is essentially what you are paying for, making it not fit the vehicle without modifying is pretty pathetic. It’s a better shot to just DIY your own bracket. Also they no longer come anodized nicely black as the picture shows. I’d pass on this product.
Why does the gen 1 Tacoma reservoir come with only 1 hole rather than the 2 it needs ?
I mean, personally, I would have saved that fluid. At least dispose of it properly. Just sayin', Son. Love you!
can we get an installation video for a 4th gen please
I just bought this. Such easy to follow instructions. Thank you so much!!!
not so great on a 5th gen 4runner, need to do a couple of mods to make it work
We have a specialized kit for the 5th gen 4runners! They are available for sale on Optoffroad.com and soon our personal website.
how I get my for my 4runner ??
Hey, can you use it also on a 4th gen 4runner?
We have a 4th gen 4runner kit available on optoffroad.com
The hood switch is an absolute nightmare to install. I have a 2002 SR5 and the wiring harness is right there.
Your facebook says 65 dollars plus shipping and on the website it says 95 dollars plus shipping. Any way I can get it for the 65 dollar price?
Price had to increase due to material cost increases unfortunately.
Will this work for JK
Could this be used on a 1st Gen tundra by any chance?
Does this fit a 2014 Tacoma?
This is a Japanese vehicle which uses JIS fasteners. Please consider reformatting your fastener package to consider this. As a shop-owner who specializes in Asian vehicles, nothing is more of a pet peeve than when a vehicle comes in with mixed SAE/JIS fastners on it from aftermarket kits. It makes the kit builder look lazy or the installer look unprofessional. I am doing this install for a customer and now have to decide if I want to supply my own hardware, or go find my dusty bucket of SAE sockets.
Very well put. Hardware should be kept the same it’s professional and proper.
I'd suggest a site/product link in the description.
Very helpful video. Thanks!
My high clearance bumper and your kit are going to be arriving within the same relative time frame and I couldn’t be more excited to not have to look at my very cracked and glued stock reservoir! Thank you for making such a useful product!
This is exactly why we developed our kit! We are so glad that the community likes it as much as we do! Cant wait to see all of the customer installs pouring in soon!
I wish your products were in stock! Gahhh
same. I've hit him up on IG and no date of when he'll make them again At this point, I am going to find a way to make my own
Any chance you'll make these again soon?
If you use 3m primer pen on the back of the the lights that thing will never fall off I use it to put keel Guard on kayaks
How long does it take to put this kit together and ship it out? Order #1499
