God bless u for caring for neglected animals.
He had some good people before us too but it has taken a long to learn that he can trust us as a family to do these important care tasks!!! Thank you ❤️

What breed is her horse so tiny
@@LaylaandGinger he is a 3 year old hackney pony! 😍
@@Horsemom0911 he is so tiny omg 😆
@@LaylaandGinger yes he just about 11.5 hands!! He’s a sweet boy but still in training!
@@Horsemom0911 dangggg that’s so small I’m literally only 4 feet and almost 12 and my trainer has me ride 16+ hands
@@LaylaandGinger we also have a 16 hand thoroughbred that my daughter rides with supervision but she is helping me train this pony too 😌 I truly don’t think the size matters but your connection with the horse! 🐎
I was always taught that you want to be in front of the horse (I never liked it but had to do it that way) but can someone explain why you should be next to instead of in front of
Great question!! You should walk next to the horse between its head and shoulder. The horse should walk or drive forward with your movement and keep at your speed not ahead or behind. This is all taught during training. You should hold the lead rope with the right hand and the extra lead in your left hand. If the horse is spooky you should give them extra space in case they spoon because they need the space to react the stimuli, but a relatively safe horse should lead right next to you without pulling or pushing you. I hope this helps!!
They are going to grow up together! Id say a match made in heaven!
@@dennistodd4144 yes they are!!!! I can’t wait until they are showing next year and he is pulling the cart all around our property with her!!

Smart little lady❤
@@bellalovesben3414 I have to agree but I love hearing her responses and then she can learn from listening to her response!
Unless ur horse is a mustang and hates walking
@@liv-v3o 😂😂we have a stubborn mustang that doesn’t like to walk too! She’s in some of my other videos and she knows her size and what she can get away with kids! My daughter loves showing her but that is a smart horse!!
@@Saltyanddone exactly! At the shows I would see so many young kids walking in front of the horses and that’s how they get hurt because if the horse spooks or takes off they will get injured!! Great point!!
@@Horsemom0911 for real! Every time I’m getting her out she knows it’s time to work and tugs back as hard as possible but we pull which is what u do!
@@liv-v3o my Mustang is 24 years old and still has some stubbornness but a lot better than when she was younger!!! I have had her for a 21 years. She is my absolute love but she is semi-retired and she knows it 🤣 I love my mustangs though!!
Guts is what she has right there. Horses scare me lol.
Is thise baby horse
No it’s a pony:)
@@samoljubav-e5h no he is a 3 year old hackney pony!
Really like hackneys
@@jcjefferson-u2g we looked for almost 2 years for a young hackney I could train and needless to say I am in love 😍
@@Horsemom0911 he’s gorgeous!!
It totally depends on the pony/horse. A spooky pony ypu need to give room between you and the pony so if it spooks it has space to love with out hitting you or running you over. Especially when leading a horse I don't know I will always give them room so I can see how they behave in all ther different situations, what their manners are like and expect them to be respectful of humans space. I don't want to be right next to them and find out the hard way. If I knew the horse well then I'd lead from anywhere I fancied 😊
Absolutely! This is meant for a kid friendly calm non reactive horse or pony!! It totally depends on the horse and situation!! I noticed at the horse shows a lot of the kids were getting in front of the horse which in its self is totally dangerous or pulling on the horse repeatedly. That’s what brought this video to light 😊 I love hearing insights from others though that’s what it’s all about is learning and knowing how to handle all horse types!
And this is where it all BEGINS..❤❤❤❤❤
Yes it is!!!
What a cutie 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you!!
My granddaughter's show horse was born in '98 Yep😊26 yrs old and still winning awards

@@baskervillebee6097 yes she is ❤️❤️😍
That's why I 💕 old horses and ponies.
The horse isn't a toy
Not at all and she was enjoying the shenanigans of my littles. I have owned her for 21 years and she is just so patient and sweet. We are working on the correct technique for getting the reins up over her head but it was a cute video opportunity ❤️ we love this old horse!
No, the kids is the horse's toy.😅
I remember having issues like this too when I was young.😂❤ If I could suggest working with the kids to teach them how to get the horse to lower it's head. Maybe try to hold a treat to lower the horses head? My horses loved a peppermint or a sugar cube!❤ Ya have to love how patient this horse is being with his little people!❤
@@robinstewart2506 yes the horse knows to lower her head but when I walked up this was what was happening and I started laughing and decided to catch a clip ❤️❤️❤️ these are the moments that we remember and it’s always not perfect but we have to laugh about it and then move on and learn the right way ❤️❤️❤️
You know you could teach her HOW to get the reins over.
Yes we are working on it but I had to catch this on video ❤️😍
PRICELESS........😊
