Joan Baez was a lesbian, hanging out with her lover Kimmie in Carmel Calif. 4 blocks from my house. Later she tried to figure out if she was bisexual. That's sure not Bob Dylan's fault if she was confused. Stop blaming him. PS She was and is a great voice and artist. Her sexuality has nothing to do with her music. Just discussed because that's where the topic went. Who was to blame for their inability to figure it all out. Otherwise, nobody should care.

No disrespect intended. The greatest respect to both supreme artists. But, I grew up four blocks from Baez in Carmel Calif. She was a total lesbian then. Later she claimed to be bi-sexual. None of that is relevant to the artistry. But, it is relevant to trying to lay any kind of blame on Bob Dylan, for a mixed up love affair. She was mixed up before she got into a ?relationship? with Dylan. She used him to try to figure herself out. I sincerely wish her the best, but just feel historical accuracy is important.

Interesting how Chalamet's star is high currently yet he still seems to be humbled when around people who have been in the business longer than him (hope he continues in that manner and doesn't have a dark turn unless its for a role).

It’s nearly impossible for a harmonizer to anticipate the timing of Bob’s vocal delivery, but Joan and Emmylou consistently did it. Both were bold and assertive. Fun to consider 65 years of these magic Dylanisms in retrospect - Love that guy.

The problem with Joan Baez was that while she had a beautiful voice, she just never had creative originality like Dylan. She liked to think they sang duets, but her voice was over loud and often drowned him out and it was always his words and music that mattered. I never liked them together. She wasn’t in his league. They were each better without the other. She was always just hanging on. Just my opinion. Yours may differ.

I love the interest in the Bob and Joan love story caused by the Complete Unknown flick. I think the director wanted to portray a more mature aspect of Baez than Joan at 20 or 25. But I loved the portrayal, the awe she showed at realizing the impact of Blowing in the Wind was a great moment in the movie.
