Man, lots of great indie games and, of course, Astro Bot. I played (and Platinum'd) Animal Well after watching your top 10 games of 2024 stream. I loved he game. Solid 9/10. The depth of the nested secrets is insane and the gadgets and (pixel-)art style are so unique! Definitely excited to try some of your other indie game recs. Have added many of the games in this video to my wishlist. Great video as always, man. Hope your new year is off to a great start!

Great list. Balatro and Lorelei are bangers. Bit disappointed not to see Balan. That should be on your GOTY list every year.

I respect the grind but i wouldn't say its something impressive other than a stat online.

I gave up on trophy hunting in 2023. Its a better life and you actually play what you like instead of wasting hours on some average games that don't deserve your time.

Nice collection. I really enjoy the PS5. I think Sony has done really well with the 5 and the 4. Personally, I think the 4 has taken my #1 console spot due to the range of games/genre's. I love that the 5 can play 99% off the 4s library

I just beat Ico for the first time an hour ago. It was good although I still like Shadow of the Colossus more. My blind playthrough was about 6.5 hours (I got stuck at two points which probably cost me ~45 mins). I saved this video to come back to after I beat it and dang...two hours seems like a tough time - very impressive that you are sub 1:30. I'll definitely get around to this platinum at some point.

Thumper is great! Played it on PS4, very tough and intense. One of the few games that make me wish I had a VR, must be a wild experience.

Great/chill video as always. I'm grinding out some trophies for an event on TrueTrophies while watching this and that final trophy for viewing all the plant life in Proteus is on my list - I'll be working on that later today. I just beat DMC 3 on Hard, now off to play some Just Cause 2.

I've been thinking about creating a to-play list for my backlog for 2025, and this video comes up as recommended again.. just what I needed! I like the use of Notepad and PSNP+ here. I usually just write my goals down. It would be cool to have a centralized repo of backlog to-do lists to hold your fellow gamer / trophy-hunter accountable for their backlog progress lol. But would also be cool just to see other peoples' progress in tackling their backlog. I guess that is what PSNProfiles is for, though.. lol. I have been teetering between 47% and 50% completion percentage all year because of new games to play. I really want to woe rk to increase my overall completion percentage to 60% by end of 2025. I just have to plan (like you did in this video) and maintain the discipline (by not starting and playing shiny, new games) and execute on some of my existing games in the backlog. Anyways, older but great video. Hope we can see a follow-up video on your backlog progress through 2024!

Nice to see some solid playing time on the Portal! As I'm beginning to think about my gaming goals for 2025, I'm beginning to build a list of games that I think would be quite conducive to the Portal experience. Stuff like the PS2 Remasters, FF Pixel Remasters, and maybe even FFX (still haven't made it more than 10 hrs into this game...). Congrats on the 48 Plats, that's quite the feat! Interested to see what that 200th Plat ends up being :)

I only got around 140 hours this year which is crazy because I call myself a gamer but it's most likely due to me having a PS4 which will change in a couple of days after getting the PS5.

Congrats on a beast of a year, man. More plats this year that I have in my entire 13 year playstation / trophy-hunting career lol. There are levels to gaming and trophy hunting ha. Just finished the Astro Bot platinum and had to complete the DLC straight away. Easily a top 5 3D Platformer for me and a top 5 "most fun" platinum for me. I had my most active year in terms of games completed/platinum'd this year (which is interesting considering it was also my busiest year in terms of real life dealings), including: God of War 1 (PS3) DC League of Super Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace Resident Evil 2 Remake (genuinely scary game, and too many playthroughs to have me go for the platinum just yet) Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Session: A Skate Sim Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition What Remains of Edith Finch Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon (RI Edition) Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009 PS3) Disney Classic: Aladdin and The Lion King Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011 PS3) Ghost of Tsushima Cleaned up all Astro's Playroom DLC (and loved it!) Demon's Souls (PS5 remake. My first Souls game and I am loving it! Taking my time with it.) Sly Cooper and the Theivius Racconus Astro Bot Currently playing Ape Escape because of Astro Bot, and plan to start a game in the Uncharted series in 2025 because of Astro Bot! It’s very annoying it does not include VITA and PS3 as I regularly play a lot of those and got a number of Platinums for them. Kind of makes these Stats a bit redundant as I invest a lot of time into those consoles.

My Xbox was similar, felt like a big slump on Game Pass this year. I played Outlaws and Flintlock there so that was 70hrs, plus 30 pottering with random stuff.

Congrats man, 48 platinum trophies and one of them was FF7 Rebirth. I think I got 36 and my most played was GTA 5 for the platinum(148 hrs).

As fun as these can be...they are kind of hampered by how exclusionary they are. Don't include any PS3 and PSVita activity for instance so some statistics can be quite off, at least for me it was. Not to mention all the in-your-face ads for services and games that already are popular and successful.

sadly Playstation dont track what u do on vita and ps3, according to the wrap up i got 24 platinums this year but in fact i got 39, 15 were on ps3/vita

I might get into Backloggery, but it's a mountain of a climb to get started. I track my physical collection on PriceCharting and have a spreadsheet to track games beaten (213 games beaten since 2017!) I love stats and numbers, so it would be nice to get some of the percentages and by console breakdowns that Backloggery offers.

Love the update. Always nice to get mini-reviews for games I haven’t even heard of. I was interested in Balatro after your pitch, but the Platinum requirements scared me away. I know, it shouldn’t be, but for now I focus on the games I already own (Silent Hill 2 Remake, Call of Duty Black Ops 6, Outriders and of course, Outer Wilds). These are my games for December, specifically for my Christmas/New Years break.

Got three plats done in November. Dragon Age Veilguard was a pretty fun experience. It's my personal game of the year because I've only played astro bot of games released this year and I prefer longer games. I'd rank both at an 8/10. The combat is one of the best combats ive ever played. It's so insanely good. The story also gets insanely good in the second half of the game and I couldn't put it down. Kinda proud having gotten a sub 100 fastest achiever considering I plat everything on its hardest difficulty (got 67th fastest). I also cleaned up *the last of us 2 non remaster* with it being my first playstation game and I didn't wanna plat the game right when the remaster came around. Still had to do a survivor+ perma run with all remaining collectibles. I genuinely felt bored playing a difficulty below grounded. It felt like the game held my hand at every step of the way. One of my favourite games of all time, but I'm never gonna play it on a lower difficulty. Cleaned up the Sea of Stars trophies that got added for free. One of the best games ever made, albeit I've not experienced that again. Wolfenstein: New Order is my final platinum of November. Great game. It's not particularly difficult even on über difficulty. The perk trophy grind system was pretty fun. It was an extremely well done Nazi game that isnt just haha killing nazis is fun boom boom. The news articles and letters in German are amazing, especially for a German. Shame that TNC basically did away with all of that and went with the "haha killing nazis is fun boom boom". Currently grinding Mein Leben to get the game as my 30th plat. It only has a handful of "difficult" encounters so I'll get it soon enough, even though shooters are one of my least played genres.

I will definitely try Hades. I love watching videos like this because not only I'm a trophy hunter as well, but these videos also serve as recommendations on games that I missed for one way or another.

Trophy hunting has taken over my life 😅 74 plats to my name and in the past 6 months I’ve gotten 44 plats… Even did a platinum alphabet challenge. 1st plat was in 2014 so from 2014-June 2024 I only got 30 plats 😬 44 plats in 6 months may not seem like a lot but some of the games included monster hunter world and iceborne, dark souls, COD Cold War, kingdom hearts 3, Styx master of shadows, black myth wukong, and Bioshock to name a few so not short games. Need to see a therapist 😂

I’ve also been playing Timesplitters, I got through the campaign and did a few of those challenge missions. I’ll definitely finish it eventually but it really pales in comparison to the 2nd game for me. However I had a blast with Mister Mosquito, I don’t think I want to go for the platinum but I had a great time with it.
